I like the heck out of this game
This game looks like shit
I can see why Ubisoft keeps making these type of games with set mission structures that repeat over a large map with little variation. It must be a huge benefit as a developer, when you can have a good idea how long it will take to make the game as there will be few unexpected problems that arise. Compare this to Bayonetta or Gears of War 2 which would have so many different, unique elements in every level. Hard to see this trend ending when it pleases fans, publishers and investors. It's like the polar opposite of Hideo Kojima where you don't know if a game will even come out.
Yeah, it's 40 hours of sometimes samey content. VS 6 hours of mostly unique content.

How are they playing this??? It isn't live in the US until midnight.
They probably have special press access. It's also been available if you buy the gold edition in New Zealand since this morning.
Been enjoying this tremendously as someone who enjoyed the first game.
I love this game.
@apathetic_one: Well, that's just like... your opinion, man.
But seriously, no need to be salty because someone has a different taste from you. If this game is you jam, then more power to you.
@tetra4 Sounds like you want a game engine. Not a game built on a legacy of classic games that can be twisted and tweaked in some amazing ways.
It's okay to not "get it" but my goodness what a dismissive response. Why create anything? It's all been done before. Life sucks and then you die. /s
Everything on the left side of your included image wasn't made first try. It's not a shock to anyone that there's more bad art than good. But a space for creativity that's designed to be more hospitable to new creators is nothing but fantastic.
If Mario maker causes you to conjure up such hyperbolic examples of good art vs bad art, you can ignore it.
Some people like fun.
I think the original Crackdown was never as good as people said. Making it impossible to live up to expectations.
