i am a little surprised at the lack of response to the two documents  MrMcgillicutty   linked earlier.  The one about the "area 51" alien flying saucer thing was at least interesting to read.  And Hitler in Argentina? Sounds crazy but there is a legitimate report in the FBI's vault about it.  I do agree with Ventura on one thing though:  once something that is classified happens and its said and done with, it should be released to the general public.  If at least to just satisfy my craving for the lack of huge government  conspiracy  movies lately.

I'm experiencing some scrolling lag with google chrome specifically when visiting giant bomb.  it happens on all pages including ones with just forum text (no images).  Other websites, even ones with heavy images don't have any scrolling lag at all.  Just wondering if anyone else has this problem or knows how to fix it?

I'm not sure.  I loved the gameplay and the way the guns feel.  They had some recoil to them and the round based combat is the funnest way to play.  I'm not a huge fan of deathmatch style FPS cause it just becomes a twitchfest.  I know tons of people love it though im not bashing it...its just not my style.  So i like guns where you can't just hold down the button and get headshots all the time.  That was one of my problems with Medal of Honor was the recoil was almost nonexistant...i could just hold down the button and put 3-4 bullets in someone's chest and they died.  There was no aiming there, for me anyway.

I guess i just like the feel of CSS and I'm looking for something similar...unless valve is gonna come out with the next itieration? anyone know anything about that?

So I'm an old school CS player....did the whole CSS for awhile.  Never really got into MWF2 when it was big due to WoW but I'm looking to get back into FPS's.  BC2 wasn't my cup of tea and  I still love CSS but its pretty dated. I see a lot of people saying they are going to be done with black ops soon because that style of shooter is getting kinda old.  So my question is should i pick up black ops and give the multiplayer a try or is something else going to be coming around?

the old classics introduced concepts and game mechanics that have evolved over the years to allow playing games to be more fun.  you can't "die" for real in most games today or your health regenerates...even poisons just end up fading away without having to use an antidote (remember poisons in baldur's gate 1? rest and you wake up dead).

so playing some of those early games without all the concepts and mechanics that simplified things or with terrible menus and predictable plot lines...all those things birthed the games we play today.  its like driving a car from 1920...the ride is gonna be bumpier...its gonna be a stickshift...and there won't be any power steering.  but it can still be fun to jump in and take it for a ride.  i personally love baldur's gate 1 and 2 just as much as i love dragon age.
