Roguelikes such as The Binding of Isaac and Spelunky are wonderful for something when I have an hour to kill. Survival/farming games like Minecraft, Terraria and Stardew Valley are also favorites of mine for chill comfort food. The legend of Zelda games might be favorite series because of nostagia and just how charming they are. They just fill me with a childlike sense of wonder that few other things can accomplish.

Jeff and Vinny, Jeff and Dan, Ryan and Vinny, Ryan and Jeff, Vinny and Dan, Dan and Drew, Vinny and Austin. Tons of great duos in the past. These days I don't really think there is a great duo. I still listen to the podcasts, but quick looks are a little less interesting to me. Not that they really do too many of those these days.

I wish nobody ever left giantbomb. Could you imagine how amazing that line up would be? So many interesting and different opinions and perspectives on games. It would make GOTY deliberations impossible, but it would make all their other content so much more varied.

I don't really know how to distinguish sub genres like this, but I love so many rock bands from the late 90s to the late 2000s. Linkin Park(my fav band ever), Evanescence, Breaking Benjamin, Rise Against, Shinedown, Three Days Grace, Disturbed, I could list dozens of bands from that time that I am a big fan of.

Also I've never understood the hate for Nickleback, they have like 10 songs that I enjoy.

First let me start with my experience regarding each game:

  • Demon's Souls: Watched multiple let's plays and speedruns, never played myself.
  • Dark Souls: Played through multiple times(including DLC), watched many playthroughs, including challenge runs and modded runs, watched lots of invasions and lore videos. First one I played. One of my favorite video games ever.
  • Dark Souls 2: Played through twice, watched a couple playthroughs and speedruns, some invasions, and lots of lore videos. Never played or watched dlc content. Think it gets too much hate, it's a flawed, but still very enjoyable game.
  • Bloodborne: Watched 1 playthrough, never played due to not owning a ps4. Watched a couple invasions and 1 speedrun. Watched some lore videos. Think it's pretty good, but the pvp really sucks in it. If they ever ported it to pc I'd buy it in an instant.
  • Dark Souls 3: Watched the first 2 or 3 hours of a lp and stopped to avoid spoilers. Haven't played it yet, but I probably will by the end of the year. Actually the only one I'll have played through before watching a full playthrough, as I feel like I should experience one of these games relatively blind. I've
  • Sekiro: Watched 1 playtrhough, never played. Just wasn't really into it for some reason. Might play it someday, but there are so many other games I actually want to play it's very low on my priority list.

With that out of the way, I'd rank them from best to worst: Dark Souls, Dark Souls 2, Bloodborne, Demon's Souls, Dark Souls 3(very likely to change placement once I play it), Sekiro.

I'm excited for it! The first one was an enjoyable game, even though it's nowhere near as replayable as games like Isaac and Spelunky. Spelunky 2 is the roguelike I absolutely can't wait for, hoping it finally comes out this year.

Well I still work full time so I don't have any more time for games than usual. I'm slowly making my way through Hollow Knight, trying to beat all the pantheons and flawless ascended bosses in Godhome. Honestly I don't think I'm ever going to beat it while having a job. I just can't dedicate the amount of time required for me to get good enough to complete these challenges. I've played a lot of difficult games, but this might be the most challenging thing I've ever attempted in a video game. The only thing I can think of that is comparable in difficulty was completing Boss Rush as the Lost pre buff in the The Binding of Isaac: Rebirth. That took me like 2 years to complete.

I started playing Outer Wilds a while ago, but haven't touched it in a couple weeks after getting insanely frustrated at one point. I think I would actually enjoy watching somebody play through the game more than actually playing it myself.

I work at a large grocery store and this virus has made working hell. I work more than ever because the store is far busier than it literally has ever been, and we have a small crew that often had to stay late to finish the job . Meanwhile all my friends are on vacation because their schools and jobs have sent them home. Let me tell you seeing dozens of people on my snap going to the beach while I'm stuck at a job I hate during normal circumstances is the worst feeling ever.

I gotta be in the minority because I think both these games are not great. Animal Crossing has too many restrictions and not enough gameplay variety compared to Stardew Valley. Doom always looked boring too me even though a ton of people really liked it, so I'll probably skip this one too.
