With the pre GT/Super demise of Android 17 where would this put him in the New Generation? I’d go Diesel as he’s destined for much much much better things and despite being very successful initially feels like he sucked at the time compared to what he’d become…actually he’s Hunter Hearst Helmsley after the Ultimate Warrior match and 18 is Diesel.

16 getting jobbed out after doing next to nothing is kinda reminiscent of Goldust and Cell is HBK going from tag champ to Main Eventer and looking at the title. Trunks should be Brett Hart but he’s too cool and yet not good enough for Cell thus making him Razor. Obviously 19 & 20 are Mabel and Oscar

17 is alive at the end of Z. He's off in the mountains somewhere as a park ranger, you see him briefly holding up some hunters when Goku needs everyone to stick up those hands. He just doesn't do anymore fighting until the other series.

@zanschaugn:

They haven't been ignoring satellites just been building them out slowly, most of those 5 UFO escapes were detected but they only had jets to face them. Alex just fixed that.

@quinez: The actual scenario has more ambiguities. The predictive power of the predictor is unknown and is usually a human (Although setting predictive power to 100% is one way to get into the philosophical debates). In a scenario where you are told the rules outside and your choice will be scanned with 99.9% as you enter the room, choosing two boxes is always wrong (if you are trying to maximise your gain). There is no reason to choose two boxes its almost impossible for you to get the lesser outcome, or indeed the maximum outcome. If the predictive power is lower, random or unknown then you get the messy situation where both options seem viable. Ooof although now I see that I was ignoring the pre-condition of the boxes not being changed after you make the recorded choice and before you then make following choices.

I'm leaning towards the outcome is affected by how well you understood all the constraints, leading to the its two different games conclusion.

@quinez:

I don't know if it was how they read it out or how you wrote it but the rules reveal was ambiguous and it had Abby considering a different scenario to Vinny and Dan, see my post above. Its an important point because knowing the rules in advance makes it completely deterministic and picking both boxes a terrible choice.

https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Newcomb's_paradox

The question read out was wrong screwing up the scenario by making the reveal of the rules ambiguous. Abby heard that you knew the rules in advance, Dan and Vinny heard it telling you that it told you the rules later. In the scenario Abby is thinking of she is 100% correct you take 1 box because you knew the rules and taking both is always worse, in the scenario Dan and Vinny heard they are correct and they should have taken both because that it what they naturally would have done but taking a single box is also possible and might give you more, this is Newcomb's paradox and the outcome is uncertain.

@alex

The Magna Carta is totally superceded in UK law, it tends to only get mentioned because its taught in school without really explaining that its now irrelevant and some people get weirdly attached to the idea of it when it just shifted power from the King to the Lords. The UK does have bodies of law that amount to a constitution but its not all wrapped up in a single document, which is probably for the best because it can get updated without the nostalgics getting outraged because they are all obsessing over the magna carta instead.
