I agree that Dark and Darker needs a mention. It's such a weird situation that they have to try to drum up sympathy by publishing the game themselves, with pretty much exactly the trappings that people hate Nexon for. It's a whole thing among the Tarkov-esque streamers.
I agree that Unity is bad, real bad. I also think we're dealing with recent bias, however. A company putting its foot in its mouth happens yearly. The Overwatch stuff (as one group) is worse imo, as it's just an endless string of colossal fuck-ups; especially since it's a game that's had an infinite amount of time to rectify itself.
My thoughts: I think it sucks balls that the first F-Zero in decades is tied to Nintendo's worthless paying online system :) I'm not paying for a service I won't use to fiddle with the reanimated corpse of a once beloved franchise. I have the SNES cartridge, I can fire that up any time.
Luckily, the release schedule is so packed that I'll forget about its existence completely by next week. So will everyone else.
Another strong year of contenders. I, for one, won't be normalizing the "big game is unplayable" trend, just because it seems to happen more frequently. The state of Redfall was fully unacceptable.
I would like to add to this list: Overwatch League has signed yet another player who was found grooming minors. It's the 4th or 5th case, which is kinda unbelievable.
That was a wonderful Direct. Just so much cool stuff for any person to enjoy. Personal favorites are Palia, Silent Hope and Penny's Big Breakaway.
My only note is that I would've liked just a smidge more info about the Princess Peach game, because it looks like they're toning it down, rather than the sheer chaos of the DS game. I hope it stays weird, but in a better way.

On the topic: It's absolutely fucking nuts that a PS4/XONE still costs as much as it does this late into its life. I've waited for them to be a reasonably priced pickup, unless I want one of those shitty One S things, which I don't. I'm still waiting.
