this fighting game seems shitty

Is it just me or does the Super NT seem... not great? I understand those carts were old and grimy but the consistency with which they were having problems getting the games to run seemed off.

UvMC3 is one of the most important games to me, in a genre which lies deeply close to my heart to begin with. This review touches on everything I'd want to hear, without being needlessly hyperbolic. I would like to play this game, still, though I still maintain hope to one day have a proper successor.
