Why not target the corrupt YouTubers that can influence MILLIONS of children and teens? Oh wait, the people actually being paid by billion dollar corporations are beacons of purity and integrity. Gaming outlets are too scared of pissing off any chunk of their (sometimes paying) communities, so it's nice to see the mainstream media picking up the two month old slack. The harassment victims have had to stand alone until recently, Zoe Quinn even had to take up investigative journalism while the supposed "professionals" were endlessly chatting about being addicted to the "terrible, yet captivating" Destiny.

I agree with TC 100%. The movement was founded by a bigot(Adam Baldwin), and all it's really succeeded at is harassing women out of their homes. The movement couldn't care less about corruption, they ignored Yogscast, and YouTuber corruption(people with considerably more pull than any journalist), they ignored the Mordor shit, and they couldn't have cared less when Billion dollar corporations say they brainwash consumers.
All they actually care about are women writers and small, powerless indies "polluting" their sites with "SJW bullshit". All these big sites fucking do is report on AAA games, articles about sexism account for less than 1% of their total output. It's a fucking joke. Also, YOU DON'T HAVE TO READ ANY OF IT!

It's so crazy to me that the film and comic book industry have spoken out against the harrasment way more than any "mainstream" game writers have. Alex had a few Twitter outbursts when it first started, but he and everyone else has been almost completely silent on the matter.
I completely understand not wanting to be hacked, It just bums me out to see them be quiet when people they are(were) friends with are being assaulted every day. Jenn Frank's lack of support was especially depressing, since she was always a huge fan and defender of Giant Bomb.
