Those are words that losers use, not gamers. I know the two categories have a sizable crossover, but let's not acknowledge it.

Everyone's going to tell you to buy it, but I'm going to say nay. I'm in the minority opinion though, so statistically speaking the odds are in your favour for liking it.

As soon as you begin, go straight down, hit the wall, and speed along them to get the first part 'wax on' done. Don't drag yourself along the wall, because that slows you down, just run alongside the wall scraping your side against it. You should have wax-on pretty much before anything has spawned that will give you trouble. Then continue around for as long as you can before something blocks your path, dodge around it and find your way quickly back to the wall and continue around. It doesn't matter if you miss a spot, you'll just have to come back to it later. Basically the trick seems to be to do it as fast as possible. while you're dodging around blocks, try and hit any conveniently located gates to give yourself a bit more freedom. It only took me like 20 minutes to get.

This is an odd topic. The longest I've ever slept for was exactly 24 hours, almost to the minute, and it was completely deep sleep too. When I woke up and looked at the clock, I was extremely confused because I assumed I'd only slept for like 5 minutes but I felt totally refreshed. I didn't find out it was a new day for at least 30 minutes.

I love Ico and Shadow of the Colossus. It's not as simple as the post above would like to have you believe.

I like how that comic is supposed to prove something. The people who buy 15 dollar internet meme shirts are stupid. The people who spend 15 dollars on tacky Mexican food are stupid. Therefore..

Usually when a game gets such positive reviews I can at least see where they're coming from even if I don't personally like it, but I think Braid is the first game where I literally do not get it, and that's pretty frustrating. I see now why people go on crazy hate tirades on games like MGS or Zelda, when people love something that is completely gross to you that can be a pretty strong source of frustration.
I tried the demo, solved all the puzzles, I found it counter-intuitive and frankly rather boring with hideous character and creature designs. Blah on Braid, I'm insistent that people who are not me are insane

How about this then, if we're pondering value. On XBLA alone for the same amount of money as Braid you can buy Jade Empire, Psychonauts or Indigo Propecy. You can buy Rez HD, Geometry Wars 2 or Soul Calibur for a less money than Braid. All of these examples are decidedly better games, plus Braid only lasts like 4 hours. It's priced too high, and if it were released on a disk I'd not have even considered buying it.

I tried the demo and was thoroughly unimpressed. I'm not sure I would have even paid 800 points for Braid, it's just really average. The entire time playing the demo I couldn't decide if I liked the aesthetic or not, it was really bugging me. I eventualy decided that I tentatively liked it but the main character and enemy designs are horrible.
