Perry and I try out Hellgate: London Resurrection. It's... at least it's free.

You do know it was released as a full retail game in 2007, right? If that's what you were getting at that is.

I do....and it looks like all the other Free to play MMOS.

@The_Laughing_Man: It plays like it did back in '07-- not too well. I've been more optimistic about the other F2P's we've done so far, but this one has not snagged me at all.

This just looks terrible in every possible way.

Yay for insulting Mormons, glad to see this represent Giant Bomb! Let's just start with all religion now that we're at it.

I like these things that show these F2P games... I do however remember that the original Hellgate London look way better than this so maybe better textures are a Premium User feature only? :P

@ZeForgotten: Dude, I know, right? It looks something -terrible-, and we were on higher settings during this run. Also, I can't tell if you're sarcastic about the Mormon thing, but either way-- apologies if any offense was taken.

I always liked HGL but this free 2 play version has no DX10 support and you can't get to Act 3+ unless you buy a 4 dollar pass (which is kinda of a nice deal because you get the complete game + expansions)

@DanielComfort: Here is what the game used to look like for me, granted I was on the highest settings but even Medium to High looked waay better than the F2P one does, that's for sure. It's like they forgot a whole folder somewhere with texture files for the game or something, it looks really weird in the F2P version... Man that game had a lot of wasted potential :(

I was being sarcastic about the mormon thing by the way, though I do know a few mormons that would probably get very angry with me if I told them that they worship Satan and that they suck :P

@ZeForgotten: Haha, well, I definitely didn't mean that they worship Satan, and realize how terrible that must have seemed when I said it. I was more comparing the guy to the door-to-door Mormons, the way he was running up to us. Jehovah's Witnesses might've been more accurate.

@DanielComfort: Meh, doesn't make for a great story. I'm sticking with "Hey, this guy named Daniel says you guys worship Satan and also something about a leg and guns and zombies. So don't!" :P Looking forward to more great videos and keep up the good work
