Also pure innocent Jeff not understanding that there would be a billboard for drugs. Whippits are the new vape, questionably legal and clearly marketed towards kids but because there are "legitimate uses" they skirt around it by advertising other uses.
It's so blatantly obvious it makes you sick though, like "make your own desserts *winky face* and the whole billboard is covered in laser lights backdrops like a 90s kids elementary school backdrop to evoke the true party drug nature of the device.
@monkeyking1969: anecdotally I can't help but feel you are right. I have always been a PC first gamer, but I've also bought every console on release day from 360-Switch, including Pro models. It was fun to be part of the hobby, have access to exclusives, and play the occasional "better on the couch" game.
Given the hassle finding new consoles I don't have either of them and I'm not trying. If I can't just get one on impulse suddenly I have to think about it... And then I think "why do I even need this thing when I have a 3090?"
Crossplay and even Sony porting to PC lately is just icing on the "why bother" cake
I just started playing Persona 5 Strikers from the Steam Sale and I was kinda surprised how much story and voice acting and general fan service there is. I'm still pretty bored with the gameplay but even that is just oozing with Persona-ness that you can tell they put a ton of thought into making these games where you hit X 5 times then push Y. It's kinda crazy
@dya: I'm watching it in English too because I'm usually multitasking and can't always keep my eyes on screen.
It's super corny and probably lacks the charm/talent of the Japanese cast given how excited Tam was discussing Dio's dialogue but it wasn't "bad". They're laying on the soap opera styling pretty thick which fits the show's theme perfectly. That said, I didn't come away from the English VO for "Useless, Useless, Useless" like OMG what a line!
I know its a bit of a bummer to hear pretty leading spoilers like "Nazis" but as someone who has never ever seen any of the show prior to this, even I knew there was timeline stuff in the show from all the memes and prodding of friends to watch it. I don't know the context or anything else around it, and while sure that's a spoiler technically; it didn't really bother me at all. I see a lot of the anti-spoiler comments coming from people who HAVE already watched the show, worried its going to ruin it for those of us that haven't. As someone in the camp that hasn't seen it - we fine ya'll
SOOoOOoOOoOooO many people have told me to watch JoJo's that it just bounced off of me as one of those "It'll never live up to the hype now" shows that I'm just not going to watch.
I didn't even make it to the end of their coverage of ep1 before I stopped what I was doing and started watching like WTF even is this, are they serious right now?
Whelp, they were. Damn. I'm 3 episodes in, finished this episode of the pod, gawt damn I'm hooked, what a wild ride.
Personally, I still hate the art its just not what I look for in anime but I can't get over how just unapologetically weird it is.
