Sad to hear. But a good thing on the other hand. I will be able to enjoy Dragon Age 3 more since I can not compare it to witcher 3 at that time. And later when Witcher 3 is released I can say how much better Witcher 3 is^^
I paid full price for the Tanker Demo of MGS2 and never really touched Zone of the Enders and I regretted nothing. However I will wait till I have my Ps4 since I do not want to play it on the PS3 first^^
@wiseman4545: to be fair here. Brad is not actually the person who knows a lot of technically stuff.
This is a misconception based on the last year of Brad's reaction to any new controversy over a game's graphics, so I don't blame people for thinking this, but Brad is by far the biggest technical nerd of this site, and absolutely knows this stuff better than he lets on. Listening to older podcasts, you get a very different and much more nerdy Brad than you've gotten in the last 8-10 months.
Even so though, I think this has gotten really out of hand. Clearly the game has had some graphical changes that are very noticeable and that shouldn't be dismissed as crazy (the facts are the facts, afterall), but it's not worth ignoring the game over. Dark Souls II is still a game that shouldn't be missed. Gamespot specifically called out the bad lighting in their review, so as long as it's gotten the press it needs, that's all that really counts.
Bad changed big time in this regard. HE is now more of are carefree guy about this topic.
Also I never said I will skip Dark souls 2. I never will. However I wait for the PC version and I am still pretty sad about the differences of how the game looks now. You see when they showed he first reveal video I literally shit my pants on how great and atmospheric it looked. With removing this "lighting" feature is clear to me now that this will also now not be existing in the PC version at all. It still a great game for sure and I can not wait to play it but it could have been so much more....
@wiseman4545: to be fair here. Brad is not actually the person who knows a lot of technically stuff. Again the game is great and fans already love it but it could have been so much more. And removing features like the lighting use will mean that the PC version also will not offer this anymore which is really really sad. You guys should understand that I am not hating the game quite the opposite That is why I want the best game.
@jamin724: I love how Gametrailers holds back a score for Dark Souls because they have not played the online potion and straight up gives a score to titanfall. Games journalism^^
Anyways: Besides the graphical thing it seems that this is the best Dark Souls 2 game so far. I do not know if people here know brandon from Twitch but he is a true master of this series and he said it is the hardest and best game he has ever played. He finished his first play through in 55 hours with level 120
Brandon the guy who played Dark Souls a ton said that this is the hardest game he has ever played but also the best one. So if you want a real challenge go for it. But maybe it is really hard if you have not played much Dark Souls before.
