@banishedsoul1: I think the incremental cost of a gaming PC is what should be considered, that is: how much will a regular PC cost me? How much will it cost me to upgrade this regular PC to a gaming PC vs the cost of a console. Utimately what level of gaming PC you need will also depend on where we are on the console cycle, like many of the posts mention, you don't need a high end PC to get similar quality to consoles towards the end of the console cycle.
