EDIT: I also wonder why you are even playing the game if you don't care about the story, universe or the characters. The guy behind the desk is an important character in Jensens past. It's boggles the mind that someone can find what he is saying to be unimportant or not pay attention to it. It just stupid to complain about the choices you make not affecting the story if your not paying any attention to the story.

That's not by choice, I didn't start playing with the mentality that I was hoping the game would fail! I just find it hard to care about this guy in particular, he starts openly weeping at his desk because he shot a kid and I tell him it's not his fault - but it just feels hollow and empty. Part of that is down to weird voice acting and minimal animations on the characters, but part of that is me genuinely not being able to empathise with the guy.

i don't think you're meant to empathize with Haas, or most of the other characters for that matter, you're supposed to manipulate him into letting you into the police station. some times you have to tell people what they want to hear, and not what you feel they should hear.

the game has obvious flaws, the biggest being that different playstyles will lead to different levels of enjoyment. but i didn't have those bad experiences since i went stealth most of the time, so for me this was the most fun i had with a game this year.
also if you have the lift heavy stuff-aug and the hack turrets-aug , you can totally pick up stationary turrets and use them as improvised weapons. how awesome is that?

He was asleep during his days In the pod. That would just be a mission where you stare at a black screen for three days.

Or he has a dream in which he is some form of warrior princess.

and he is on a quest to find a certain boy with a triforce tatoo .who went missing. and whose name is Li... aww come on!

i liked all the endings, since all of the theories had some strong points, but also some significant flaws in them. in the end i went with the jensen one. i felt that the balance between technology and nature that existed before the whole darrow incident should be upheld.

Woah, reading this a lot of people seem to be missing the point...or I am. The endings aren't really there to bring closure or "wrap things up" , they're a look into human nature. Hell, the entire game is a look into human nature, with awesome gameplay, concepts and atmosphere as bonuses.

what he said.
