Awesome! The first one was cool and sequels generally are improvements. GENERALLY!!! Not all the time... I'm looking at Mercs 2... No wait, no I'm not. It's way too painful...
Banjo winning for GotY is definitely a true underdog story. It'd be awesome if it won, but I"m betting on GTA of MGS IV. I vote Gears of War 2 but that's because it's the only one I've 'fully experienced'.

Maybe it wasn't intentional, but it's certainly there. If it was intentional, they could easily claim it was some dude acting alone and no one noticed or they could claim coincidence. Either way, it bugs me because I use custom soundtracks often and I'm like "whoa!" every time.
I just loaded up a game with the NXE and then I decided it play my own music (from within the game). I pushed the Guide button, pulling up the menu, and I went over to the media part. When I got there I went down to the "Select Music" button fairly rapidly and instantly pushed the button. I noticed it sounded just like the intro to the classic Mario theme. It wasn't just the rythmn though! It was also the tones! I thought this little "easter egg" was cool; I really don't think that this was a total coincidence.
