Games I've Finished Since November 2009

I started keeping this list in November of 2009 as a spreadsheet, but what better place to move it to than the Giant Bomb lists. What I consider finished is usually the main campaign for a single player game. Sometimes if the 1000 points are easy enough I won't call it beaten until I get all 1000 or 200. I decided to reverse order the list so it's not the same 5 oldest showing in the list description view.

  • 11.14.11 - 1000 points - 1 star - I was a huge lost fan, but this game is horrible. I had played half of it a long time ago and went back to finish it for points. After playing LA Noire I kept thinking this game could have been great with that tech. And a lot of other work honestly.

  • 11.10.11 - 710 points - 42 hours - 4 stars - Really as a stand alone RPG I give it 4 stars. As a sequel to Dragon Age I give it 3 stars. It's not bad but just goes in a direction that is very subtlety but significantly different than DA:Origins to where it becomes frustrating. You can tell it was rushed out and it makes the dungeons very boring.

  • 11.03.11 - 200 points - 6 hours - 4 stars

It's a fun but simple rpg. There was enough Double Fine humor in it to make the entire time enjoyable. The mechanics are so simple that it was never difficult, just a matter of finding the right costume combination for a fight.

  • 10.08.11 - 335 points - 13 hours - 5 stars - Great ending to the trilogy. Gut wrenching at times and still a few things left open. Hopefully answered by DLC. This was just my solo normal playthrough and some multi. This game has a lot of legs with all the multiplayer modes and arcade campaign.

  • 06.15.11 - 865 points - 24 hours - 4 stars - Really fun dirty off road racing. Just not a 5 star because it didn't really have enough rally and online modes are pretty eh.

  • 06.12.11 - 805 points - 23 hours - 3 stars - I really enjoyed the traversal. The repetitive gameplay and the combat I did not. The fact that the end of the game became all combat didn't help.

  • 06.04.11 - 445 points - 21 hours - 5 stars - Amazing! It's an awesome detective show that you get to play. I have some issues with were the story went at the end but it didn't it was still a good story.

  • 05.07.11 - 1060 points - 56 hours - 5 stars - This was all the DLC except Arrival. I'll post a full blog post with my thoughts later.

  • 05.06.11 - 250 points - 5 hours - 3 stars - It wasn't bad at all. The puzzles were good. For me a lot of them were either too hard to figure that solution out or pretty easy. The hint system worked great though. The music and setting were a nice change of pace to everything else out there.

  • 05.04.11 - 5 stars - 19 hours - 755 points - Great game. The puzzles could have been harder. Co-op was a great addition and the single player story progressed in a fun way.

  • 04.16.11 - 5 stars - 13 hours - 150 points - This might be the best deal on Xbox live. It's a fantastic game and a perfect hack'n slash for the 360. I'm still missing the maximum fame and enchant one item 10 times achievements. This is my new "I've got 20 minutes to play" game so I know I'll get those eventually.

  • 04.13.11 - 5 stars - Great game. I was just super slow playing it due to only playing it co-op and our schedules.

  • 03.05.11 - 16 hours - 4 stars - This was a great expansion. I loved the inclusion of old characters and the new characters were entertaining. I'm glad it still had some big decisions, although they're all right at the end of the game. The choices seem to have a big impact on the world so I'm interested on how they'll be able to maintain the series with so many different variables in play. I also went through and played Leliana's Song, Golems of Amgarrak & Witch Hunt. All 3 didn't take 6 hours.

  • 02.03.11 - 14 hours - 595 points - 4 stars - The hours played is with gaming some firefight achievements and a little bit of multiplayer. I played the campaign in 3 person co-op and it was a lot of fun. Bungie does this experience very well and I'm really interested in what they're going to do next.

  • 10.02.10 - 32 hours - 875 points - 4 stars - Great game, horrible endings. I played the main game and the Zombie Ned DLC. Both endings were awful, boring, "Is that it?" moments. It's a letdown because the main game has this magical loot grind that is a lot of fun.

  • 09.15.10 - 40 hours - 695 points - 4 stars - There's a lot to love about this game and a lot that's epic RPG jank. Notably the graphics and the combat. I think it's unfortunate that casual is the only playable difficulty level. I don't want to pause my game every combat. It makes up for that in a grand fanatsy story though. While that story is also riddled with cliches it brings enough newness to it to be an entertaining story that makes me ready to move on to the expansion.

  • 09.08.10 - 17 hours - 585 points - 4 stars - Much better as I moved along. Seemed like the story only really kicked in after Harley was locked up. Like the last 1/3 of the game. The combat kind of got frustrating with only like 3 moves. I think if I had gotten better with the gadgets it would have been smoother.

  • 09.03.10 - 185 points - 3 stars - Finally got around to beating world 6. Those time puzzles can be a pain in the ass. Luckily there's youtube.

  • 09.03.10 - 135 points - 4 hours - 3 stars - It was a fun beat-em-up. Some of the boss fights were just stupid.

  • 08.26.10 - 3 stars - 805 points - I'm calling this completed for the main game. I still have the DLC I can go back and play. It was definately fun and worth my time. I wouldn't say it was exactly engaging the entire game.

  • 08.22.10 - 180 points - 5 hours - 4 stars - Good puzzles and nice surprising bit of violence here and there. No real resolution but fun to play just a few puzzles.

  • 08.15.10 - 380 points - This was beating it on co-op hardcore. I got gipped out of the I Can't Quit You Dom achievement.

  • 07.24.10 - 200 points - 16 hours - I put up a Giantbomb review for this one. It was fun. Apparently I spent way more time on it that other people, but I'm pretty sure I did every quest.

  • 07.03.10 - 675 points - 14 hours - I'm not going to bother going back to complete all the races. This game was a lot of fun but definitely lost it's shine half way though.

  • 07.03.10 - 710 points - 8 hours - The game wasn't bad. It's wasn't engrossing but not bad at all really. It kicked up the gross out factor in a few parts and wasn't bad for achievements.

  • 04.19.10 - All single player achievements except 15 mcom & all mcom destroyed.

4 stars: I really enjoyed the characters. The story that strings B company along the whole adventure was weak and the way it tells the story on the final level is confusing. The gameplay was awesome though.

  • 03.30.10 - 200 points - 19 hours

4 stars: Getting the 100 games played took a while.

  • 01.19.10 - 1000 points - 1 hour

1 star: I wish I could have said negative stars here. It's only good for achievements and it doesn't even support giving achievements to the second profile logged in when you're playing a multi-player game. The play-by-play is insulting to the intelligence of a 10 year old.

  • 01.11.10 - 1000 points - 6 hours

    2 stars

  • 12.16.09 - 485 points - 6 hours

    3 stars

  • 12.12.09 - 760 points - 12 hours

    3 stars

  • 12.06.09 - 335 points

3 stars: It's always fun playing a game with a year break in between starting & finishing it. This game had serious difficultly balancing issues. Some fights my co-op buddy & I would just get wiped out. Other times we just cruised through a level.

  • 12.03.09 - 1000 points - 6 hours

2 stars: I really wanted to say maybe 3 stars here because it wasn't horrible but it's still bad. Consider it a bad game that's worth it for the points.

  • 12.01.09 - 850 points - 7 hours

2 stars: This started as just a big achievement score. By the end it was a relief to finally be over. I am not the target audience for this track listing.

  • 11.26.09 - 515 points - 11 hours

4 stars: The only downside is that combat falls in the mindless category every now and then. If that's the mood you're in that might not be a bad thing. It certainly wasn't when I was playing this one. The Star Destroyer level made the game. Too bad that was near the beginning of the game.

  • 11.17.09 - 620 points - 8 hours

3 Stars: The story was spastic & the gameplay was eh. On the good side it was entertaining & the achievements were easy.

  • 11.15.09 - 325 points - 7 hours

4 Stars: I'm not a big fan of the mutiplayer community around this game so I think I only got to level 14 there. The single player storyline was crazy but I loved that part of it. I ended the game with a giant fist pump to the sky. That alone is worth the 4 stars.
