Resident Evil Remake is one of the greatest games of all time, I will fight anyone who disagrees.  It excels in absolutely every area.  Graphics are *still* phenomenal to this day; the resolution is the only limit on an otherwise gorgeous and moody environment.  The pre-rendered technique regularly comes under fire for making controls awkward and complicated, I say grow a fucking pair.  Go back to Call of Duty if you need every game to control the same.  Some of the most memorable and beautiful imagery ever presented in a game, framed with such exquisite cinematography I often end up staring at many of the screens just soaking up the detail and artistry.  The soundtrack is haunting, the story is cheesy, the atmosphere is incredible.  RE4 is absolutely a great game, but if survival horror standards are judged on atmosphere and terror, REmake dominates the rest of the series.  A true work of art.

You must work for Polyphony or Sony, otherwise there is no excuse for such dumb fuck shilling.  Go get a job, go take some classes, go bother someone else

It was how different they were.  Yeah, they were not so much technical, but they brought something just as interesting and cool to the table.  I really wish though instead of using this "Super Meter" thing like Street Fighter now has with SFIV, I wish they would just come up with their own new things; this is in essence what made Mortal Kombat new and cool for me. I for one want more Drew on the Bombcast.  If necessary he could replace Brad, who's asleep half the time anyway.

Don't even try to highlight Lost's great human drama.  That is bullshit on toast.  If anyone still cares about Jack's daddy issues, his relationship with Kate, Claire and her pointless plot device of a child, and all the rest of Lost's contrived elliptical character arcs and their maudlin melodrama, there are some great soap operas during the day for you.

Deadly Premonition is the most enjoyable and enriching game I've played this year.  I don't think it will be beaten down the road.  DP for GOTY
