@DjCmeP: There are still people here and there. Its a timing thing really. I was just on and there are a ton of people on servers that were completely empty three hours ago. The GB server had around 25 people on last night around 11 pm EST so I guess its just a crap shoot.

It has honestly shocked me that western companies haven't adopted the "free to play/micro transaction" model more often.  There are a ton of games, mostly from Korea, that have been around for years with this model.  So many of them are garbage, but they still manage to survive.  It will be interesting to see what kind of longevity LoL ends up having.
