Here are my top four favourite games of 2015 in order. I personally value quality, narrative, immersion, gameplay, & general performance.
+ Quality
+ Gameplay
+ Graphics & Presentation
+ Narrative development & Length
+ Style & themes
+ Quality adventure game interactions
+ Immersion = Intelligent UI with no constant 2D graphical elements
+/- Developers ran out of budget but still managed a good ending
~ Just a bit too cheesy, but helps build character
- Melodrama is a bit lame in a few areas
+ Quantity & Quality
+ All characters, including NPC's have character
+ Graphical effects & Environmental diversity
+ Animations
+ Good combat and adventure
+ Good frame rate (- but not when it launched)
+ Immersion = Can disable in-game UI
- Epic load times when you die (around 1:21!)
- Elves & dwarves (whack as fuck fantasy junk)
+ Quantity (- although could have been shorter and more refined)
+ Made with blood, sweat & tears for its Otaku audience
+ High frame rate
+ Unprecedented amount of freedom & control in a third person action game
+ Absurdity (good kind)
+ Immersion = Customisable UI and dynamic in-game objects as UI
~ Crazy hard end mission (may be good or bad for you)
- Excessively infantile depiction of women (bad kind of absurdity)
- Repetitive artificial voice-over to emphasise SCI-FI elements
- Developers ran out of budget and could not finish game properly
+ Fun & Challenging racing gameplay
+ Graphics & Presentation
+ Amount of content (tracks + cars + bikes)
+ Regular updates
+ No driving shitty peasant cars or doing driving tests
+ Load times & Menu efficiency (easily play however long you wish)
+ Records your performance so you can compete with yourself or friends even in singleplayer
+ Immersion = Can disable in-game UI
+ There is literally nothing negative I can think of and I am typically a cynic.
