Kinda messed up that the item you need to hack those doors is a level 15 Colorado mastery unlock what with the tooltips constantly talking about it. Could see a lot of people get confused like Brad and Dan did thinking the scrambler must be in the level. It probably needed a menu more like the lock system to show that it's not necessarily expected that you have it.
If you were someone who played the game at all before Hokkaido, that would be an odd assumption. It was more about Brad and Dan rarely playing the game except for video features, and they seem to have a problem paying attention. It's not as ambiguous as you're making it seem.
Why would door hacking devices be strewn about the hospital anyway? It's clearly an unlock.
Alright, I mean no offense and this isn't so much a comment on the opinion of the article (I'm for unions), but these articles have been really hit and miss. Not that all of them have been bad, but most have hardly been interesting to read while striking odd tones.
To sum up how I feel thus far, the guest columns read like something I'd check out on the forums, not on the front page of Giant Bomb. They're just not cutting it for me.
But then again, it seems like people who comment generally like them? Even with this one you have people applauding and saying thanks for spreading the gospel while seemingly unaware of how weird the tone of this particular one is. I felt like I was almost reading an advert.
I'd much rather have Guns of Navarro back. They were interesting, engaging reads that enhanced the site.
This is incredible. They said they would take a break and reevaluate this, but they come back and refuse to change absolutely anything. This has to be some sort of experiment.
