so I just saw Clash of the Titans. I never saw the original with Lawrence Olivier, so I have nothing to compare it to. I read reviews going in, thinking it will be utter shit and I was actually shocked by how much I liked it. Granted, it was not Grade A film, but it had its moments. The action was solid enough, and the sound wasn't bad to boot. I just feel like the movie didnt capitalize on a number of key ideas. I won't spoil anything, but if they added an extra 30 mins to the movie, I think it would have been a much better film overall. 
 
Anyone seen it? What are your thoughts?

It looks like a good time waster to go see with friends.  But then there's that robin hood movie that looks interesting. 

I personally liked it, but it was kinda cheesy at some points

It might be easier to explain if you saw it. Think of Zeus as 'God' and Perseus as 'Jesus'.   The saviour rises up to face Hades 'Satan'. All the imagery they use with the Gods on Olympus is very Christian. And the whole fight gets turned around so that it's Hades vs Zeus, or Satan vs God.   If they made Perseus a Carpenter rather than a fisherman it would have been very funny but to obvious. "

Sam worthington just doesn't look like an action type of star to me.  But that Gemma Aterton girl who plays IO  is fucking hot as hell.

The action scenes with the Scorpions were pretty sweet. 
 
Also, the transformer-like blue eyed dudes were pretty cool. And the Avatar-like Pegasus scenes were pretty sweet too.

I thought the characters were pretty silly. Perseus has his friends die every thirty minutes of the movie it seems, and every time it happens, he's sad for about two seconds.
