@sanj: Comparing it to Newgrounds flash games was dumb, I take that back. This obviously has loads more detail put into than any free browser game would have. I just think it has such a generic cartoony look to it that reminds me of a lot of that stuff.

Really dislike the artstyle. It's a shitty thing to say, but it honestly looks like a Newgrounds flash game. I'm not saying you can't make a 2D game with great looking hand drawn art, but this looks cartoony in a way that makes me think of 2000s flash animation.

Visually it doesn't look super impressive? I guess it's hard to gain from watching a compressed stream but the lighting especially looked kinda dull.

Gameplay wise it looked fine. I mean it looked exactly like I imagined it. It looks like a cyberpunk shooter. I'm not super hyped though, honestly.

@nutter: I've heard some decent things about 4 or 5. I hope they are better than 2 at least because that one was rough. Watching 3 tonight.

I’ve wanted to watch Mission Impossible Fallout after hearing so many good things about it but have never seen any of the previous MI movies so I’ve decided to go through them all. Saw the first two yesterday

Mission: Impossible (1996) - 3/5

Pretty good, I enjoyed this for the most part. Great special effects. I feel like the plot falls a bit short though. It’s just kind of a boring setup and premise. They try to pull some twists and turns to make it more interesting but it ends up feeling a bit convoluted in the end.

Mission: Impossible II (2000) - 1/5

I’m not the biggest fan of John Woo’s style of directing. His movies are flashy and they have slow motion and doves up the ass, but it does little for me. But even I realize that he can do better than this. This was corny as shit and kinda lame tbh. Fitting to have a Limp Bizkit song in the credits.

Another mass shooting in the US, another day of ignoring the obvious gun problem causing them.

Fuck the NRA

Best: The sheer number of different kinds of games there are now. There is something for everyone.

Worst: The time commitment required for most games, even many smaller indie games to play through and complete. I feel like many games vastly overstay their welcome and are packed with added stuff only in order to better justify their price points or just because that is whats expected from games now.

@nutter: If you had no tolerance for the stupidity in the first JW then Fallen Kingdom might be worth a watch only because it might turn into a “so bad it’s good” experience, especially in the second half when it becomes so hilariously fucking stupid that you can’t help but roll your eyes into the back of your skull and just sit there in silence as your brain shuts down and leaves you.
