Games that Shaped My Childhood
These are the games that have shaped me as a gamer (whatever that means).
These are the games that have shaped me as a gamer (whatever that means).
The platformer that got me into platformers. I played the entire series, but this is the one that got me hooked.
Quite frankly, one of the best space sims ever. The reason I bought a joystick. Also a killer plot and the first game where I "played as a bad guy".
I racked up a $146 internet bill, back when providers charged by the hour. Still my favourite RTS.
The first sports game I played, on my friend's NES. Never played the actual game... just kept trying to get into fights.
Believe it or not, this game got me into multiplayer shooters.
My first fighting game. I used to stare at the arcade for hours, watching its demo loop.
The first game that ever really scared me.
The game that taught me a mouse was the best aiming device for a shooter, ever. Also, mods like crazy.
The adventure/puzzle game that got me addicted to puzzlers. Also first game I cheated at.
The only game I played on a cousin's 3DO. Plenty of fun, for the time.
Greatest game on the Sega Genesis. Period.
An awesomely terrible FMV adventure game. Loved abusing the hints with the save system to solve the puzzles.
My first and only console in my childhood was a Game Gear. This game got me through many a road trip, despite its lack of save system.
One of the three games I had for Game Gear, it had a semi-open world mechanic, trap-building, platforming, and multiple endings. The first game I ever beat on a Hard difficulty.
My first MMO, and the game that showed me that I'm not really into MMOs.
