Word. Art degree is fine, just be aware that while it is a large industry, it is still very competitive and hard to find a job. But if you're sure that's what you want to do, then go for it. Pay your own tuition if you have to. "
So you mean that art is a pretty rough field? So then going for architecture would be the best option here, no? I could work as a normal architect and ditch it after I get a job in the industry as a level/environment designer or something similar. "
I mean if you like architecture, sure. But if you don't really care for it and are just doing it to satisfy your dad, then no. It's not a bad idea to have a back-up plan, but just make sure you could live doing your back-up plan too if needed.
