Best of 2010

My Best of 2010, created on only games I have played, since to include games I have not would be illogical. Therefore something like Mass Effect 2 won't be on this list, however it should be a contender next year, it having been released on PS3.

List items

  • I was moved by the storyline, and enchanted by the world; truly a special game.

  • I feared this would be multiplayer focused, and would not be a very good story to expand the universe I fell in love with, that the game would not be fun given the 1 year development; I was ever so slightly wrong...

  • Story that still stays with me, I see it as a nirvana in emotional storytelling that twists to a poignant ending (for me at least -- indeed the fact that there are 50 endings is amazing in game design, I have heard no one say their ending was unexplained by their choices)

  • Damn this is a good Football (Soccer)game.

  • Impressive to start with, and every time I return it is still a fun experience.

  • Funny, clever, and as the first Sam and Max I played, one which has me excited for whatever comes next.

  • One of the first plusses of my Playstation Plus subscription (see what I did there... I'll go get a gun), a really fun little shooter which started the situation that I now only play mini's on my PSP.

  • Might be a yearly series, but is extremely good nevertheless.

  • I liked the upgrades, and as someone not versed in what every play means (never having played American Football -- a side effect of living in the UK) the Gameflow feature really made this a game I have a religious returning to once a fortnight.

  • Fun Campaign (if occasionally misguided story -- something which is sadly becoming a norm in the Call of Duty series). The multiplayer is very good also, though I don't have enough time to really get into it.
