@obikwiet: Y'know at first I felt ashamed, but if eating people makes it easier to get more shit done in a day, sign me up! Haha

Gonna spolier mark the things that I'd consider a bit spoiler-y for the first year. After that, it's not that spoiler-y:

  • Winter is a great time to upgrade tools (the watering can in particular) but probably be sure you have money to buy seeds at the beginning of next year if you need to. Maybe upgrade your pick before Winter so you can mine then.
  • Placing bee houses besides patches of flowers you're growing will give you special honey that sells for more.
  • Try to get your relationship with people to at least 2 or 3 hearts by talking and gifting (pretty much everybody loves seasonal flowers) when you walk by them so you can enter their rooms whenever you feel like. Not only do you get some insight into the characters' (often-depressing) backstories by snooping, it makes it MUCH easier to actively see people more regularly, seeing as how some characters spend quite a bit of time in their rooms. I'm nearly on year 3 and like, NEVER see Sebastian because, whenever I'm free, he's in his room :(
  • I typically sell star crops and save regular crops for villager requests, making artisan goods, cooking and whatnot. Large eggs are an exception because they produce star mayo.
  • When you upgrade your axe to gold, cut down the fallen log blocking the forest because that place provides 12 hardwood a day. Also, the forest has a little secret path through some trees with two more stumps.
  • Save any ancient seeds or fruit you might get for the seed maker and the greenhouse. It's a pretty rad combination of tools for consistent income throughout the year.
  • Probably don't list your "Favorite Thing" as "People".... Within the context of what it's used for...it makes you sound pretty scary.

Sonorous Farm. I liked the sound of it, I guess, heh.

I loooove watching people play Hitman. I own Blood Money (got it as a hand-me-down) but I found that other people seem to concoct far more imaginative ways of killing, so I never really touched it. Brad and Dan poking and prodding at the game's weird-ass ways of killing people sounds like a good time!

Also, that picture....

Interesting to see people's feelings on these games. I've been pretty busy this year so I haven't really been able to follow any coverage on games, but I was under the impression that everybody loved both these games.

Personally, I really enjoyed The WItcher 3 and it'll probably be my top game. I've only just started MGSV a few days ago and I'm enjoying it quite a bit, though I've yet to be wowed by it in the way The Witcher 3 wowed me...Monster Hunter was this year, yeah? ...Maybe that'll be my top game based purely on the obscene amount of time I put into it.

Omg! Grandia 2 was one of my first video games (probably my first jrpg) back on the Dreamcast. I'm experiencing so much nostalgia right now, haha. This was the game where I proved I was a little brother by accidentally deleting my brother's completed save game.

It's never really seemed like something I'd be into, honestly. Most of my entertaining experiences with the game revolved around laughing at the fact that somebody wrote down a phrase on a card, and not so much actually playing the game itself. Like, I probably could've been equally entertained pulling cards from the box and taking turns reading in a group. I feel like I've gotten my fill of what CAH is theoretically about from Fibbage and Drawful from the Jackbox Party Pack.

That being said, I can still get a laugh out of

"The five stages of grief are:

  1. Denial
  2. Anger
  3. Bargaining
  4. Hot Pockets
  5. Acceptence"

Aw, this is such a nice idea for a thread- I approve!

Hm, not sure I can think of the nicest thing somebody's done for me off the top of my head, but something that's happened recently that's really stuck with me, was just a little chat I had with this person I met not long ago. We don't know each other too well, but she's aware of some stuff I've been having a hard time with lately and was very sincere and encouraging and it really affected me.

Nothing too exciting, I know, but I think it was rather nice, regardless (or maybe it seemed so nice to me because it was little).

Oh awesome, that's really cool. I'd pretty much given up on the idea of playing the game in the foreseeable future.
