Someone already beat me to it, but here is this image again because people need to see it:
Ryan wouldn't want anyone to call it quits, and I bet Jeff sure as shit doesn't want to call it quits either. To stop now would fly in the very face of logic, I think we can all safely assume the site will be around for a good long while, just like Ryan would have wanted it.
It's an unreal feeling to be so saddened by the loss of someone that I never knew on a personal level. I never met Ryan, but it still feels like I somehow lost a friend. As sad as I feel I can only imagine how hard Jeff & the rest of the crew must be taking it, and I wish them all the best in what is no doubt a tough time.
The one thing I seemed to hear the most about dota 2 was that people give new players an endless amount of shit, and I have to admit it can be a little intimidating. I just got the game downloaded a few minutes a go and give it a chance, but I can understand how some people not want to give the game a shot when there is a perception that most of the player base is just made up of assholes. Regardless of whether its true or not, its a perception that some people may have.
I am going to watch some of these videos before I jump in to games, because I feel like if I go in without any prep I will be in for games with people calling me a faggot ad nauseum.
