Games of the Decade

The top ten games of the 2k's! No real order though. These are just the games I remember the most and had the most fun with.

List items

  • Everything about this game is perfect. When it first came out, it truly represented the future of gaming.

  • Perfect story. Perfect atmosphere. Damn near everything was perfect about this game, except maybe the controls.

  • Easily the greatest story and setting of any game ever in my honest opinion. While the Atlas twist was pretty obvious and the ending was kind of rushed, it was still an amazing experience. It rivals just about anything on the silver screen, and really shows that games can be art too. Oh no, I used the dirty "A" word.

  • Pure awesomeness. That's all I need to say.

  • The best rhythm game of the decade for sure. Not only that, but if it wasn't for Guitar Hero 2, the rhythm genre wouldn't have exploded and become so popular. I'm not sure if that's a good (Rock Band) or bad (anything else with "Hero" in the title) thing, but it's true.

  • Single-handedly proves that games CAN be art. Have fun trying to refute that fact.

  • Pure fun! It's full of crazy and child-like whimsy. It's just fun in every way.

  • I had a hard time choosing between Snake Eater and this one, but Guns of the Patriots is just a superior game. The story managed to wrap everything up nicely, and the game was actually fun to play. It's hard to say that about the other ones.

  • My left-field choice. I'll just leave it at that. Suda is a crazy genius.

  • I almost forgot about this one! It is because of this game that I am obsessed with H.P. Lovecraft and the Cthulhu mythos. I probably played through this game more times than any other.

  • It was pretty much perfect. I may not care for the other 2 Halo games, but this one is still one of my favorites.
