I grew up 2 hours from Toronto and the only local team I'd say I'm a diehard fan of is the Blue Jays. For NFL I love Da Bears, but that was basically all started because of the SNL skits and just evolved from a love of great defense and sports history.
NHL I feel obligated to cheer for the Leafs now that I live in Toronto but I don't care much for Hockey. I supported the Sens when I lived in Ottawa mostly because nobody else in the city did.
I too was ridiculously excited for this game and also played through 2 again to max out the achievements before 3 dropped, but for me it wasn't the negativity that bummed me out but the game breaking bugs. I struggled with the face import glitch at first but eventually forgot what my shep looked like since my new one was fairly similar, but once I got to Tuchanka for the Turian general mission and couldn't complete it because of a bug that causes the final wave of enemies not to spawn and therefore no way to finish the mission I decided to stop playing until a patch comes out. It's just sloppy that game breaking bugs like this exist in such a hyped up game. The texture pop in from ME1 is almost more acceptable.
I was a little worried with the earlier talk about this game being a prequel, but even though I don't want to buy another COD game having not touched Black Ops in months, the continuing adventures of Price and Soap are just too enticing to not check out.
Anyone else feel the same way? Hopefully they will somehow make the multiplayer feel fresh again.
I'm a little worried about it being dumbed down with less stats to focus on, but I was also worried about that for Mass Effect 2 and that turned out to be one of the greatest games I ever played.
