I worked with a very small indie developer on-and-off over the last ten years or so. Very small as in there were only three of us with anything resembling a semi-permanent position, boss included, plus random contractors when the need arose. So we all wore a ton of different hats.
We didn't produce anything game-wise that I'd feel 100% comfortable linking to, however. System utilities and small apps were/still are the bread and butter there. We never considered ourselves to be "in the industry" or anything like that.
Christopher Walken attempting to explain, in a very Walken-like manner, the concept of the Tooth Fairy to a crowd of non-English speaking mooks, was probably the best part of The Rundown.
Agreed; Kenichi Tsuchiya is a solid guess. It sounds more electronic than Shoji Meguro's usual, though he has drifted in that direction before.... but still. Meguro's a busy man these days, y'know? Can he really be everywhere so far as Atlus projects are concerned?
If it's not Tsuchiya, I suppose it could also be Atsushi Kitajoh. There's stuff on his various Trauma Center soundtracks that's pretty close to this.
