@foritus: thanks for this, that was the source of the broken auto downloader for me too!

This is great, thanks so much!

I made some small edits to add the video ID to the start of the filename, and then used the Plex agent here:

https://github.com/rspeicher/GiantBomb.bundle

to autoscrape the details for plex, and make it look all nice.

Good stuff! It was an interesting read, thanks. I'd love to see the games dev scene take off a bit more in Ireland, especially outside of Dublin (I'm in Wexford myself). What are the odds we could coax Sean Murray back over this side of the pond? :D

It's not terrible tonight, a lot better than the worst it's been, which is as low as 5-10KBps, but still a big drop!

Hope this helps.

Ok, the site and videos were all playing perfectly until about 30 minutes ago (8:30PM or so in Ireland), when my connection speed to the site just plummeted. Buffering every second, if I try and download the latest Metal Gear Scanlon I get a speed of about 300Kbps. My connection speed is fine:

Getting the same buffering with Gamespot videos too. It was fine all day though, only happened in the last short while.

Just like to jump in and say I've been getting issues the past few days with watching the video content too, its only playing a few seconds then buffering. My download speed for a GB video is currently almost at 0kbps, but my internet connection is fine.

I'm on 150Mb down, 30Mb up fibre in Ireland too, so maybe there's something up?

If you're running chrome, try disabling hardware acceleration in the advanced options at the bottom of the settings page. No idea if it'll help but that's been a temp workaround for crashes on the new R9 cards for AMD.

I'm so torn between watching this and possibly spoiling my own first 12 hours with the game on Friday, or waiting a few days for an archived version to hopefully pop up, so that I have time to play the beginning myself.
What a conundrum.
