The poorly written training section is unskippable, doesn't actually show you anything about the controls, and you can't pause it. At all. After my first "mission" started I hit the option button to see, well, my OPTIONS but it just left the game running in the background. Couldn't find the controls anywhere. Bigger problem since I bought it digitally. If you can't pause a single player game at all then I'm really going to be pissed off.

And after you complete the training the game dumps you to a loading screen where have to sit and wait for a slow ass "installing game" bar to fill up. It moves at about two percent a minute.I suspect "install" means "downloading a big patch" and that they shipped a broken unfinished game.

Lazy development and poor design yay.

Polygon has never made money, and there's no way they ever will in their current incarnation. Their budget is simply too high, and since people can't be bothered to pay for journalism (even GB users don't pay for that, we all pay for funny videos - which is fine) they never ever will make a profit. Eventually that site will die/heavily downsize and number of incredible games writers that lose their jobs because of it will entirely decimate the already decimating freelance world. I mean, if Kat Bailey and Bob Mackey can't find steady writing work that pays, who the hell can?

Saints Row: The Third is easily one of the top ten greatest games OF ALL TIME, let alone this generation.

I know next to nothing about this whole thing, being non-American.

But.. I hope your country learns from this and chooses who they vote for more carefully in the future, that said.. you probably should have learned that a long time ago.

Best of luck, Ireland

looooooooooooooool

No, we never learn. My country is fuuuuucked.

And two more examples:

Maybe I'd be less disgusted by this if there was maybe ONE positive portrayal of transpeople in video games. Ever. Like, that's not used as a fucking punchline. In video games, transpeople = jokes. All the time. It's getting real fucking old real fucking fast.

And if anyone out there brings up some super-obscure example of a positive portrayal of transpeople in a video game, good for you. That's one positive vs. 1,000 negative. Thanks for playing "citing the exception as the rule."

GTA V has taken a number of stabs at me, being a gamer, a pot smoker, a republican, etc.. The list goes on. It also doesn't particularly paint the "White Male" in a grand light, especially when going into the more rural parts of the county. Considering I live in a rural area on the Ohio River right next to West Virginia, I've had to deal with people in places like Seattle thinking I'm some redneck hillbilly with shit-for-brains, and GTA's portrayal of people living in towns exactly like mine doesn't help that perception.

That certainly doesn't hit as hard as when the game takes a strike at transgender people, but it's a hit nonetheless. It's all on the same line, and the game is making fun of all of us.

If you want to stand up and defend anyone, I'll be right there with you - but if you're wanting me to stand beside you against a game that made a joke in poor taste one second while one of the main characters has an intimate relationship with a stuffed teddy bear another, I can't do anything but shake my head.

Last I checked, people aren't beaten to death for being straight, white republicans. If they were, Congress would be a blood bath.

That's the difference.

And GTA is the most unfunny shit in the world. God.

See, here's the thing. The world doesn't have to bow to your feelings. Which is what you expect.

Okay then. Keep that in mind the next time someone treats you like shit for no reason.

Hey, on second thought, can you let me know when that happens? The next time someone berates you, bullies you, makes you feel like shit for no reason at all. Let me know. So I can tell you, "hey, the world doesn't have to bow to your feelings" so suck it up.

People like you really make me sick and disgusted. You know why this doesn't bother you? Because it's a trans issue. If it was horrible violent racism, you would be outraged too. If it was *gasp" a joke making fun of men, you'd be fucking FURIOUS I bet. But trans people can just fuck off who cares about them right?

TL:DR: Same shit. Different day. I hate gamers.

Should overweight people pay more for insurance?
Should older people pay more for insurance?
Should poorer people pay more for insurance?
Should people in areas with more air pollution pay more for insurance?
Should people who work in manual labor pay more for insurance?
Should people with high-stress jobs pay more for insurance?
Should people with a family history of health problems pay more for insurance?

Slope. It's slippery.

The actual right answer is no. No one should pay more for insurance. And if you want to get technical, no one should be paying for "insurance" at all, since the American insurance system is a broken mess that exists solely to make a profit off of denying coverage and letting people die. We should all (equally) be paying for a socialized medicine option ala Japan's insurance, which is ranked number 1 in the world and, unlike Canada's or the UK's systems, has not been bled dry by lobbyists and special interest groups hell-bent on marginalizing and destroying the system in order to help their own bottom line at the sake of the middle-class.

But hey, thanks for playing "I've fallen into a trap laid by special interest groups in the hopes that I'll be distracted from the real villains and problems of the world and just blame [insert minority/marginalized/other group] instead!" You win poor health coverage, a decreased intelligence, and thought pattern of reactionary thinking that helps no one.
