I think I might be one of the only people who will say that the Wii U gamepad was the best of these last ten years. Mostly due to it feeling so natural for my massive hands.
That being said, your blog is just convincing me more and more how much better my switch experience would be with a SN30 PRO+. Damn you, unemployment!
@dan_citi: I have no idea. I really should go to the page and change it (I think that's something I can do with my level of wiki points). I'm pretty sure that's not even official art, just like... official art recoloured by some knock off packaging.
It's tough to argue against Emil, even if I think Gun Daddy or Goth Doctor would give him a run for his money. I have yet to play Pyre, so I can't comment on Falcon Ron, but Porkrind is such a nothing background character that to see him even be mentioned at all is shocking.
Though I believe Shadows of Wardor should have been on the short list given how much the staff (somehow) liked that game, EA sweeping the category was really deserved. Mass Effect and Need For Speed are dead franchises now and Battlefront has such a steep mountain of bad PR to climb to ever be relevant.

Brad was going to be super shitty around Destiny 2, as he does a lot in GotY time, but I really don't care what he has to say about this part in particular so why even listen to it?

That cuphead was going to be the winner about 5 minutes in (It's a good winner, but not what I would've picked, mostly because those platforming levels can look pretty jank).
I wasn't going to even care what their consensus opinion really is when Persona 5 isn't even mentioned.
That it would be just be better for my soul to not listen to the rest, accept it, and move on.
21 Games instead of 30, though the addition of Star Fox 2, which Nintendo has never really acknowledged as being done, was so out of left field that it never even crossed my mind.
So if you trim the list of ten games, that means no Final Fantasy IV, no Turtles in Time, no Tetris Attack, no Simcity, no NBA Jam, no R-Type, no MMX2, no Harvest Moon, no Dream Land 3, and no Final Fight 2. Honestly, if I had to choose ten games to cut, I would probably cut most of those (except keep FFIV, Harvest Moon, and Dream Land 3 in exchange for F-Zero, Star Fox, and Super Mario Kart).
DKC 1 instead of 2, because of course they would grab the inferior-but-more-well-known one.
No All-Stars at all, which was surprising. We're getting Super Mario World, of course, but figured they would have included All-stars as another title.
An inferior version of Street Fighter II, though I guess they want to make way for the Switch game? Or something?
Contra made it on the list, a game I'm not overly fond of but somehow is synonymous with that console. Yeah, because that was a better choice than Chrono Trigger...
And, other than that, I hit the other 16 out of the park. Which is not that hard when a lot of those were gimmes.
