With regards to the respeccing item: Reddit has discovered how that works. You respec back up to your current soul level- you can't actually refund any of your souls, you just rearrange them.
I just popped in today to see how things were, took the train to the new spawn. Things are looking pretty neat over there, I like the look of the mini-apartments. Two quick questions though: would we be able to get a new updated map on the OP, and how do I go about getting permission to /kit stuff (I can't right now for some reason)?
Seriously Patrick, if you want to 'show the other side' on the Sarkeesian thing, pick classier videos, not just some dude in his bedroom burping and eating candy bars. I'm sure they're out there. Showing opposition for opposition's sake isn't balance.
Or, if your goal is to show off how dumb the response videos can be, you should mention that, not present something without comment.
There was a study a while back, about movies- after the movie, people who'd had the story spoiled for them ended up enjoying the movie just as much as those who hadn't.
Every time I get to the twist in KotOR 1, I still think it's awesome even though I already know what happens. Part of what makes those moments great is simply how it's put together (dialogue or music or camera), not how much of a surprise it is.
Unfortunately games aren't just weighed on their own, the expectations for D3 are based on D2. The rabid fanbase of D2 are super bummed that D3 doesn't really follow along, it's almost like an entirely different company made the sequel! (Which is kinda actually true!)
@DeanoXD Saying someone is a 'mouthpiece' isn't insulting to them. It's a normal term for spokesmen and such. Alex was PR at Harmonix I believe, and terms like 'public mouthpiece' and such were probably thrown around all the time on that side of the biz. Again, the word itself isn't derogatory.
