I've given it some more thought, and the fact that Sony has been handing them out to just about everyone with with a camera and a small audience, suggests to me that they have additional units to play around with, and if something does come up, it's Garth Balthazar's fault, aka Jerf Berkalar.

Where I pre ordered from, they took the full payment at the end of September, so if something happens I'll be annoyed at the very least.

At the end of the day nothing is worth worrying about, especially not a plastic box that plays the games and stuff, although I am still working on following this advice myself.

Do the staff that have them, cancel the pre orders, or do they get them and pass them on to the staff that don't have them?

Also Ben looked pretty down on the bombast ( although I'm probably projecting my own left out feelings onto him)

Would have been nice if they all had got hands on, but business doesn't work that way I guess, and what with everyone being separated from each other it makes things even more difficult.

@isomeri: @grayfox666: Which would be your preferred choice, a TV or a monitor? and If I could increase the budget, what would I need to be looking at to make it worth while?

I'm learning as I go so I might be talking rubbish, but HDMI 2.1 just allows for higher frame rates right?

@facelessvixen: It's not for the living room it's more of an office space.

My current screen is 24" so anything upwards of that would be good.

I use it for my PS4, but it was originally for my PC along time ago, not that that makes a difference.

TCL look pretty good, and I forgot all about OLED so that's something else I need to think about, but if I go for a monitor that rules that out because of the price.

I wouldn't use it as a TV so I'm thinking that puts me into the monitor category?

I remember hearing Jerf Berserkiller mentioning monitors not doing HDR or something, but that's what people say makes a massive difference.
