On the subject of Shenmue, coming as someone who never played through the game until about a year a half ago, I actually really enjoyed it when I played through it, but I also didn't mainline it like GBE is doing, I did a LOT of side stuff, lots of capsules, cassete tapes, fight moves and soda were bought, rest assured. I'll post a link to my thoughts here, but if you want a brief synopsis, I really enjoyed the game b getting immersed in its setting, characters, attention to detail and devotion to realism, innovation and story, but totally can see why the game is super divisive and why people hate it. And again, I played through it a year ago, I don't have any nostalgia for it. @azuresama: Actually that's not true about the weather. The weather system itself is also randomized, but there is an option when you go to the options menu on the games menu screen to set the weather to be specific to the actual weather data that was going on at that point in the game. I'm guessing that the weather is randomized on their play settings.
