I freaking love this game. It makes boss battles just like I like them. It's a Cuphead for my taste and sensibilities. Even though Cuphead looks amazing and the bosses had cool patterns I prefer Mechstermination Force way to handle damage. Instead of just having a HP gauge you chip of layers of plating, weapons and obstacles to advance. It gives you a very direct feeling of progress.

The game plays like Cuphead and Contra but has elements of Shadow of the Colossus in it. Not to shabby of a mix according to me. And yes, it's hard. And I'm not the type of player that goes after big challenges but I really enjoy my time with this game. More people should give it a go.

I see a lot of comments about the brown sauce but didn't anyone react to "we serached for Danish (pastry)but couln't find any" and then they are sitting there with Weinerbröd?! How exactly does a Danish look in the States since they didn't know that they are the same thing?

I'm a Swede from Malmö myself so Copenhagen is close geographically and to my heart.

It makes me think of Moonstone on the Amiga when I see the map. Moving around against 3 other players and how you can get your own personal challenges.

I really like this game BUT if you have own VR-gear and therefore the possibility to play VR games I recommend checking out VR the Diner Duo. It's really cool mix of Diner Dash, Job Simulator and Cook, Serve, Delicious! It's also a co-op game where the VR person plays the chef and the other one takes orders and deliver. I think it's superfun!

This is my favorite episode of this series yet! It had so many laugh out loud moments for me personally. So many stupid things happened on this episode and I love it. Keep on working on those 120 shines.

@trulyalive: You know, I'm halfway with you. I loved Mario games when I was younger but my favorites are SMB2, SMW and Yoshis's Island. Never liked SMB3. I adored SM64 and it made me long for the next one. Sunshine was....alright but it still had that adventuring quality I liked about SM64. I appreciate the Galaxy games and SM3D World. I understand why they are good but I got bored with them. So in the end my love for Super Mario games have fizzled out.

On the other hand I never had much love in my heart for the Zelda series until Ocarina of Time and after that my love for Zelda grew and today I look forward to Zelda like a looked forward to Mario back in the 90ties.

My theory is that I don't like hardcore plattform games/challenges but rather adventuring and exploring and that's why I dig SM64/Sunshine/World (and Banjo-Kazooie etc) more compared to the more linear Galaxy games even though they are game design masterpieces.

And that's why Odyssey looks interesting to me. I actually think this might be a Super Mario game I once again can not only appreciate but also love playing because of the more open structure that I missed in the early days of 3D platforming. I was a bit disapointed to hear that there is still no hubworld but the open construction of the levels and the myriad of powermoons make it sound super exciting for me that likes to explore rather traversing on obstacle courses after another.

All shirts are just plain, boring and simple with dumb text on them. It's the laziest of things to do. When I saw the shirt with controllers I lit up and became happy to see some actually designed stuff and then I saw the stupid ass text on it. *sigh*

@sweetz: Fun facts: Tarsier has been around as an assets studio for Playstation a long time. They made a bunch of DLC for Little Big Planet on PS3 and ended up developing Little Big Planet for the Vita. Sadly Sony hasn't given them more freedom than that yet. Little Nightmares or Hunger as it first was named was possible because Tarsier got a starting grant from Nordic Game (Nordic GDC) a couple 2-3 of years ago. I actually saw them win it.

I have interviewed Tarsier 5 yers ago and they have straight up said that they were naive with City of Metronome. They thought that having a great idea would be enough to get funding from publishers. Instead they spent the last 5-10 years building experience, gaining network and a portfolio.

I'm very excited to see what they do next.

I could not shake the feeling that the games menu music sounded familiar. And yeah, I was right.

Parts of the song sounds like super lowtempo/mellow version of Super Bombermans battle theme.
