Ha! I'm rocking the same outfit as you, @donchipotle - down to the sword and glasses - except I've got the Cloud outfit's armband instead of a shield.

Would be great if the "maximize" button to go full screen from the regular video player could be added to the theater mode player. I want to go FULL FULL SCREEN! WOO!

*edit* BTW, totally loving theater mode. It's a great feature!

I was thinking about this today in relation to releases on Good Old Games. While technically the game you're getting is usually similar to the original PC release, it's had a lot of work done on it for compatibility, and they tend to add "goodies" to each release like artwork, soundtracks, etc. Should releases like this be considered separate?

I was skeptical about the need for a new LBP, but they're going way above and beyond what I expected from it. Can't wait!

Chaser324, if you haven't seen it yet, I've got a JavaScript library in the works called GiantFuse.  It's hosted on Google Code and under the MIT License.  You can read the original post for more info. It's currently just an API for rendering tool-tips for links to GiantBomb content, but I'd like to get it abstracted enough such that it could be a decent API for anyone wanting to get at the GiantBomb API through JavaScript without having to write all the boring little things.

Looking really great so far. Are you thinking about making it open source?  I've never written an iPhone app, but I'm interested in doing so, and it'd be cool to study your app as you write it.  I'd also be a little more motivated and willing to help out with things here and there.

Oh yeah - WAY faster now.   I'm showing ~50ms per request now, which is much, much better.  Thanks, Andy!

I've been considering the idea of pre-caching, as well.  I've already got a somewhat crude - but usable - cache built in. So, I could just go off of that upon page load.  Now that the data being returned is much smaller due to the filtered field list, I can also cache far more requests than I could before.

I'll work on adding this in soon.  Thanks for the feedback.
