Haven't tried it but when it's sliced and grilled it's looked really good so I wanna try it.
UPDATE: I've since tried it, it's not bad but holy moly is it salty as hell. A few bites of it and my mouth feels absolutely parched. If I try it again I'd have to get the less sodium version.
Even in the absence of some kind of consciousness I think it's not healthy to have a proclivity to give into destructive urges. I had friends growing up that would proudly show off like a hole in their bedroom where they put their foot through or punched through. I wouldn't call them amoral as they're not ripping the wings off of flies or whatever but it's still likely not healthy mentally.
I’ll be in Japan when this game releases. I’ll have my switch with me and I think it’d be a lifesaver on the long plane trip back. I know that switch games are region free but I’m unsure if I’d have an unlocalized version or worse one lacking in any english language option at all. I know the game still isnt out but does anyone have any insight into this?
I left out Racing because that's pretty much it's own genre in games and there are way more than plenty that do arcade gameplay rather than simulation compared to other sports.
When it comes to e-sports thats a tough one but lemme give you my interpretation of it. A game that I feel like is a sports game but not a "sports game" first and foremost has to have a low barrier to entry. I play a lot of counter-strike and I'm familiar with DOTA but they adopt a level of complexity that is similar to american sports. What I mean to say there's a split between liking playing a sport and being invested in a sport. The latter is reserved for pro-athletes and die-hard fans. I'm looking for games that are geared towards a more pick-up and play vibe.
I was watching an old stream where Ryan Davis plays Sim Golf and the topic is brought up early talking about sports games that are a genre other than a sports game. It got me thinking that while I really dislike modern simulation style sports games, there are plenty of games that have sports as a focus, theme or feeling that I really love and are a lot of fun to play. A friend and I wrote down a brief list of games that we thought fit this mold:
Some games are very arcady, not sacrificing gameplay for realism. Some games at the time were intended to be accurate simulations, but due to their age and simplicity are more approachable than current sports games. Some of these games aren't real sports. None of these games have a year at the end of them.
