American Made - New Tom Cruise joint. This movie is based on the real life of Barry Seal, a TWA pilot that starts running Coc & Guns to the Cartel & Contras down in Central America. It's defiantely a bit sugar coated to paint Barry is a much better light than he probably was, but an excellent movie and well worth watching. Movie will take you back to the late 70's up through the 80's with lots of Carter & Reagan in there.

8/10

I've had this feeling for many years now, but luckily every few months I happen to fall in love with a game. At 35 years old, I still love gaming as much as when I did when I was younger, but I'm waayyy more picky about what I like and what I buy. I probably listen to more gaming podcasts as well, like Weekend Confirmed, Bombcast, The Instance, Gamers With Jobs, etc etc.

I'm hoping the Guild Wars 2 early launch this weekend will draw me back in. I also have to admit though, I re-installed the free to play Hellgate and I'm addicted again, such a good time despite the lag.

How this game didn't get 5/5 stars is beyond me. It's lived up to the Battlefield name and more. Having more fun with this shooter than I have in years of FPS's.

" (yes, consoles--cue the angry PC crowd!)." -Klepek

Chill Klepek. So long CS:GO PC's Version is done properly for the platform, which we all know it will with Valve, it won't be an issue. Either way, nothing wrong with getting ticked off when a franchise goes multiplat and disregards someone's platform of choice.

Yeah, not sure why every Fantasy themed MMO community needs to constantly bring up WoW on their forums...it's ridiculous. Played a ton of Rift in the betas, liked it, but it's just too similar to WoW for me. I'm done with WoW and the last thing I want is something similar.  A completely new setting would be damn nice. The Old Republic looks like the only MMO i'll jump into at this point, and maybe Jumpgate Evolution, if that ever sees the light of day.

...then again, I'm starring at the STEAM Store page and it's telling me to  buy Rift and play now....it' is friggin' temping. Then I remember, I have the Witcher to get through before the sequel comes out, and of course, Dragon Age 2 coming. Oh, can't forget about Crysis 2 and W40K expansion pack..too many games that I won't play if I jump into RIft

Ahhh, matchmaking takes into account server connection & skill of players.  No offense, but you've never used matchmaking in any game ever have you? "
Matchmaking is fine if they want to infuse it into MW2, but PC gaming is best with dedicated servers that build communities around them. I have 5 different ded servers I play on for CoD4, I know many of the people I play with and I know the admins who control the servers. You don't get the community you do with matchmaking, it's a whole different beast for a more casual experience.  For casual pub matches or to play with just a few friends, Ded servers are a better experience, period. Either way, Ded servers are what the PC community embraces. Cutting this from the game is really a f'ing slap in the face.

IW made a MASSIVE mistake in doing this to the community. There are SO MANY talented CoD modders out there, and this will crush the community going forward. IW obviously doesn't care much for the PC platform, even though it sold very well. This is nothing short of a slap in the face.

I will not be purchasing MW2 on release, especially at 60 dollars for a game that isn't being supported with Ded servers and mod tools. I really hope IW comes out with a statement further explaining the details and their roadmap of how they plan to move forward with the PC community. We need communication right now, and it's silent. It's making the community more restless  with each passing day.

Depends on the game really, CoD4 is huge on PC. UT3 is starting to gain more and more players with all the deals on it and as the modding community embraces it more and more, MW2 would have been huge on PC, but I doubt that after the Ded servers and mod tools were cut, probably still have lots of players though. All the Blizzard games have huge followings, STEAM games from Valve have huge communities including but not limited to Counterstrike CSS and 1.6, Day of Defeat Source, TF2 (biggest on PC), and L4Dead(also biggest on PC). It really does depend on the game though. Borderlands will most likely have a healthy community on PC, so long as it's supported by Gearbox, who have an excellent track record on PC.

Don't forget MMO's either, that's probably were the bulk of the largest communities are.  When The Old Republic launches next year, that will be one huge community, as well as Jumpgate Evolution and Star Trek MMO.

I have the same issue though, everyone I know in real life doesn't game on PC, all console gamers, mostly PS3 actually, some 360.

Can't believe they did this. No Mod tools is flat out fucking ridiculous, not to mention No Dedi servers. What a mess.
