To replace Beastcast? I still don't have a gaming podcast that's been able to replicate it. Bombcast is still bombcast as far as I'm concerned, Jeff G and B are doing great, Jan is becoming a real presence more than ever, Jason and Rorie, too.

I still listen to 8-4 (also hosted on this site) and that's gotta be one of my longest running podcasts now. I was with them back when they were hosted on 1-Up and before I found Giant Bomb.

I didn't really get into the groove with any other gaming news podcasts, despite trying. Waypoint, MinnMax and others people suggested just don't do it for me. Waypoint is skewed just a tad too young for me, and MinnMax feels like IGN-lite, it's way too "we wanna know what YOU think!" for me in a way that totally doesn't appeal. Those are both great shows, but I'm not really a millenial and I super don't want to know what "gamers" have to say about almost anything. That's why Giant Bomb was such a good fit for me. Older hosts who share my taste in humor who are just there to give us their opinions and experiences and be funny, kind, people along the way. I just don't know that I'll get another show that does it.

Holy moly. I came into GB a little late, maybe 5 or 4 years ago, and I instantly knew I had been missing out. This group had such a deeper insight into things over any other site out there, and they also catered to a specific gen x sense of humor and world view that so many places just don't have.

I'd be lying if I said I didn't care what the reason for all three leaving at once is, but I know I won't get that answer here, yet. I hope everything is going well for everyone involved.

And last of all: Thanks. Thank you. Thank you for helping me and giving me everything you did.

I really would love to see Brad or anyone else at GB continue to tackle this nonsense. I need more of this garbage.

I actually found Dan to be exceedingly smart when it comes to sense of comedic timing and quick comments. It was many of his offhanded remarks I found myself laughing at the hardest throughout his time at GB. His sense of humor is really going to be missed, even though the rest of GB all bring some serious heat in that department, none do it like Dan did it.

So many Dan quotes roll through my mind all the time. It's going to be hard for me not having him in my ears. I'll move on, and I'm happy for his new career move, but I just didn't see it coming. Not long ago, I think it was on Kinda Funny he was speaking with Greg Miller who asked him about his future plans and he seemed to be pretty certain. "I'd be a fool to leave." I thought he was more or less a permanent fixture... But I was wrong. And that's ok. He was ready to go, but I wasn't.

The last GB clip I made was of Dan, it's of Abby's scream overlaid on Dan screaming.

It was good Dan. It was good.
