Vinny Caravella : Darkwing was super competent. The problem was that he had an ego the size of a whale and would always nearly screw himself over because of it. Refer back to the original miniseries/movie and many points along the way to see how bad ass he could actually be :)

That looks like some version of the Cisco AirCap router on their ceiling. The blue light means that it found a network and auto-configured.

Mechwarrior 3 totally did what Austin and Vinny were talking about. It's a deep strike search and destroy mission that goes wrong stranding a small, scattered group of mechs. The first mission is actually meeting up and rescuing your two support vehicles which actually landed where they were supposed to be. The two vehicles (MFBs) carry all your supplies and salvage and are necessary to do repairs and replacements for your mechs and they can totally be destroyed during the course of the missions taking everything they had on them along with greatly cutting (or eliminating) your ability to retrofit. :)
