The old style of music game is kind of broken for me now.

Yea, I'm willing to give new games a shot but playing the pro guitar stuff with the fancy real fender they released has made it impossible to go back to buttons on a plastic guitar. I've tried Rock Band 3 at least 4 times in the last year and after 2-3 songs I start thinking, "this is pretty damn lame compared to when I was doing this with a real guitar" and kind of give up.

Thanks Patrick. Despite not agreeing with some of your views and articles I genuinely enjoyed hearing you talk about games on the bombcast.

@defaultprophet: I understand that point but it is a tiny piece in a larger picture. I am hungry for better coverage of the games industry, not just the games themselves but the industry around it. I find it fascinating and would love to know more. The hiring of Patrick at the time seemed like an attempt to dip a toe into those waters. What we ended up with was something totally different. I simply do not buy the answer of "well there's pr people so nobody will talk or their answer will be, no comment"

If the rest of the world worked that way how does any story ever get reported? Again, as I stated in my first post, I am not upset with what giant bomb is not. What I do find distateful is the fence riding that appears to be happening, we get told that news isn't a priority but when there is a human interest story to be told, time to put on the news hats. I don't care for it at all, frankly the tone between "look at us playing Mario on a roller coaster!" And "evil gamers are chasing women from their homes!" is such an insane shift that I question exactly what are we trying to do here and what messages am I supporting with my subscription dollars.

I'm interested in video games and its surrounding industry, much less so in personal online drama updates.

@rorie: thank you for the response. I agree that the wide range is certainly a strength of the site even if it results in coverage that I am not interested in. I will continue to be a fan for a very long time.

@jumbs: it's not about the reading, it's what I choose to support with my dollar.

Hello Giant Bomb Staff,

Just last week on the podcast Brad and Jeff went on a lengthy discussion about the purpose of Giant Bomb, you stated that it was an entertainment site and not a news site. Because of this stance you felt that it excuses you from covering many stories or asking "the hard questions." Although not a stance I would take I respected your decisions and decided to take the site for what it is instead of being disappointed in what it isn't.

Except it wasn't true, you do cover news, this article is a living example of that. I have been a paid member since paying was available. My subscription lapsed 2 weeks ago. At this time I will not be renewing. Please stick to a stance, "we aren't a news site except when we are" is bullshit. I am not angry and I very much enjoy the on screen work of everyone at the site. But I will not monetarily support anything when possible that says one thing then does another. Thank you for your time. I hope to become a member again in the future as I really enjoy almost all of your content but at this time I cannot agree with the strange mixed message being sent.

MoMOBA?

MoMOBA, MoProblems...

I'm sorry.

I love you.

How nice, thank you.

2t: my iPhone 5 broke recently, so I'm eagerly awaiting the incoming price-drops on the higher-capacity 5S models (32/64 GB). I would buy another phone at the drop of the hat otherwise, but I've invested way too much money into Apple's infrastructure.

In addition, I find Android's issues with audio latency to be really unfortunate.

Pretty sure they've already dropped the prices. At least that's what the net is telling me. Time to replace my beat up 4 cause I guess they're just getting bigger and bigger from here on out.

I contest that anyone posting comments such as: "this isn't a gaming platform" and "this isn't gaming news" is not a gamer. A gamer looks for quality games no matter where they're found. I own a gaming PC, an iPad, and every console and handheld from the last 15 years, and I still find myself playing quality mobile games when they're released.

I have some bad news about "gamers" friend.
