Favorite Video Game Moms?

A Mother's Day Blog (a little late)

I'm going to go ahead and steal this idea from regularly visited website gaygamer.net and ask the Giant Bomb community: Who is your favorite video game mother? My personal vote right now has to go to Mom from Animal Crossing. She always seems to send the best letters on the worst days, as if that game has some sort of empathy sensor built in. Her charming little stories of a small-time woman always manage to work a smile on my face, no matter what mood I'm in. Sometimes, they're good enough to get me a little nostalgic for my own child hood, and make me think I should give my own mother a call.

So what about you folks out there? Favorite video game mothers? And while you're thinking about it, Father's Day isn't too far off... get thinking of your favorite video game Dad's, and I'll ask that question then.

-Make it a good one. (And Happy Mother's Day to any mom's that may be out there. You never know, I'm sure we have a couple.)

Mom from Animal Crossing is truly awesome. Mom from World of Goo is also pretty tight.

Yes, yes there is. In a medium primarily dominated by heterosexual males, it's nice to have a place to go.
