I was so relieved that DBZ Kai kept that line (or at least a slight variation of it) in the cut. I was worried it got the "Mondo Cool" treatment and was cut out.
I've been waiting all these episodes to hear their reaction to the "Super Saiyan bargain sale" and I love that they couldn't even wait and had to mention it right at the start of the podcast.
There's a mission in Xenoverse 2 called "Super Saiyan Bargain Sale," so either it's also from the Japanese dialog, or it's beloved enough to catch the dev's ear.
I watched the original Japanese DBZ episode a couple of weeks ago and it's pretty much the same joke in Japanese.
Holy shit, I would've never thought I'd ever see River Plate, my home team, in a GB video, but there it is, right at the start!
@danryckert: It's fairly common for right-handed soccer players to be left-footed. It can be an acquired skill during childhood, and some players are actually fairly adept at using both feet.
The original Kai run up to the Cell saga was handled by a separate production company. The FC were done in-house, which is why the remastering is so poorly done.
@mezmero: It's not a ground based fighting game, it has air dashes and a ton of crazy launcher and juggle options. It's SNK's take on anime. Higher level play is near Arcana Heart levels of the ground is lava.
Ah yes, the block button, that famous anime fighting game mechanic.
