What is TWEWY prease?
TWEWY is the acronym for "The World Ends With You", a JRPG for the Nintendo DS. The setting of the game takes place in modern day Shibuya of Tokyo and many of the locations found in real life can be found in the game. The plot of the game revolves around a young loner boy with spiky hair who wakes up in the middle of the street but can not be seen by any of the passer by's. Without spoiling too much, it turns out he is part of a deadly organized game that determines the life and death of all the players.
The gameplay involves around collecting "pins" that have different magical properties so you could have a pin that works like a sword, a pin that shoots fire etc. The pins are invoked by various touch interactions such as swiping, sliding, and touching. While you are in complete control of the bottom screen you have a partner who works on the top screen, the actions of the partner are controlled by either the D-Pad or the other face buttons depending on your preferred stylus hand. Both screens share a health bar so you have to manage what's going on but from my experience I found that mashing the d-pad and paying attention to the bottom screen was good enough for most fights.
The game also has many unique components such as a food system that increases the affinity between you and your partner (among other things), all your armor being (fake) brand name clothing, a fashion system that gives you battle bonuses depending on what you're wearing and much more! This is all wrapped in a very Japanese influenced soundtrack. The iOS release features a re-done battle system to accomodate the single screen, retina display support, the ability to integrate tweets into the thoughts people have (because you can read peoples minds), and the option for a re-mixed soundtrack.
Someone correct me if I made a mistake somewhere.
