Why would you boycott all EA games instead of just the bad ones. Not buying good games because they are published by a company you don't like isn't exactly sticking it to the man. Why punish for example the dead space guys for some strange vendetta?
I see the points, up until this news out i was getting it on PC since it was miles better than the console counterparts because it was basically unregulated. I get why people are angry but its also painfully obvious why they are doing this. There are other ways but this is also the easiest way for them to do it since its basically a port of the consoles. Not forcing it on steam is probably them not wanting valve to have control over the whole of MW2. In a sea of people flipping out over this they lose sight of why its happening in the first place. It sucks but this is the perfect solution to all of the problems they were facing (DLC, piracy, prestige mode)

Obvious answers are because that's how it works on PC, i completely understand the outrage since if you were getting free stuff before and you stopped getting that why wouldn't you complain? Its the same thing as L4D2 where people feel entitled to all the DLC in the world since they paid for the game once, who doesn't want free stuff? The fact is no one likes to work for free and if they spend the time making the new content don't you think its only fair they get something from it? "

You're arguing that because PC doesn't get charged outrageous prices for maps (which have been provided free by the games' communities for years), and because PC has "matchmaking leagues beyond the others" it should be pared down, dumbed down to console-ized matchmaking that isn't up to par? Your argument is pretty much that because PC has proven to be a much better platform in both providing content & online matchmaking... it should be taken a step BACKWARDS to conform with the likes of consoles. Hate to continue this stupid argument but your missing the point, it helps against piracy and lets them charge for DLC which you may get red in the face talking about how shit it is but you are a moron if you think you should get everything for free since that's the way it used to be. The loss of dedicated servers I'm sure is an acceptable loss for them to achieve this
