Rocketgirl. You are kidding me.

I'd like to see those same eight women's responses to Rocketgirl. Hell, there's actually a pretty legit game behind that stupid blown out of proportion Dead Island statue that, as far as I know, isn't concentrated on sexism.

On the other hand, why would anyone have any passing interest in Rocketgirl other than the fact that it uses scantily dressed ladies riding dicks to garner attention? Excuse me, rockets.

How is that not female exploitation at it's finest?

LOL

I don't think that's what she's saying. I think she's saying whoever chose her picture to use for this article, (I'd have to imagine it's Patrick) assumed her picture for her. Probably thinking her twitter picture with "OH NO CLEAVAGE!!" would bring down the article.

That's pretty gross on GB's side, actually. Not hers. Most of the other ladies on here just have their Twitter pic repped. I'm sure it made her feel pretty dumb when she realized GB didn't like her default pic because how it works with the article, and then didn't even ask her for another one and just picked one for her.

Kind of weird assuming choices for women in an article that's supposed to be about female strength.

Yes, that is a very, very, stupid statue. That is now getting far more attention than it deserves.

I'm sorry, but I just don't agree with this article. And this is coming from a person that thinks women that game are treated wrongly in a lot of ways which is holding back the maturity of the industry.

I might not know much about women actually in the gaming industry, but I know many woman that play games, and I feel there are far more ingrained and simply unreasonable walls in just general gaming culture that should be concentrated on before some stupid statue that really doesn't matter in the grand scheme of things. Did I mention it's a statue of dismembered torso? Yeh, it's really fucking stupid regardless.

I truly do wish the best for woman in the gaming industry, but the problem is so deep in gaming itself, which leaks over into the industry and vice-versa. Even if something happened today and every woman had a 100% guarantee of no bias in the industry, they still can't even go home and play the games they make without being judged.

Why not organize rallies of women to take over online games for a certain period of time? The fact that every time my girlfriend gets on CoD, is already uncomfortable because she's the only girl in the entire lobby, and is instantly told to "Shut up lil boy" or "wow bitch like you know Call of Duty" the second she opens her mouth is absolutely disgusting.

Organize sessions where there's only one MAN in the lobby. Show them ladies are here to fucking stay, and deserve every bit of respect as a man pulling the left trigger and holding the right. And that a stupid fucking statue that questionably objectifies parts of the female body covered in blood (which the horror genre in any form has been exploiting, and still does, for YEARS mind you. Patrick should know that.) isn't going to put a dent in that.

I'm not saying it should just be excused and that nothing should've be said, but this is too much for something that doesn't deserve the attention, and there are far larger problems at hand that we could be solving that could prevent something like this from happening again in the future on a more important level.

Just finished this game for the first time. There is so much I could talk about, so much. But I've already been thinking about it so much, and don't want to lose my entire day typing.

But I loved it. Absolutely loved it. Loved it's depiction of a believable breakdown, I loved it's fixation on how going too far can lead to horrible results no matter what your intentions were, and I loved it's commentary on general human mindsets and the games we play today. Hell, if gaming is a big enough hobby for you, I fell like this game can damn near define you as a person.

This is game that I think more and more people will look back at over time and truly respect in many areas. Not to mention, it literally advances game story-telling in certain areas. Fan-fucking-tastic.

The elevator at the end would signal the truth in the downward trek. Although I agree with some other people, that while I did personally notice that a lot of the game had you going down, there were enough parts that had you going up as well that makes me question this metephor.

Here's the first video, if anyone's interested.

We're gonna have fun with this game, dammit.

No but seriously, we completed Leon's first chapter and we really had a lot of fun. This video is just the first section though, so there's not much action. I was pretty excited these first couple of videos to play this with Cyph again, so sorry if my voice quality isn't the greatest. Must not have been thinking and talking too loud.

And if you want to see Cypheron's point of view, you can check out the description of the video for the link.

Anyway, thanks to anyone who watches! I hope you enjoy it.

Still going to buy it for myself and make my own decision. And I genuinely enjoyed the demo, so I'd imagine I'd like the full game.

Plus I've already committed to doing a video series on it. I hope it's entertaining enough for that now, haha.

I can't for sure say either way on whether I agree with these reviews or not considering I don't have the full game, but some of them do seem a bit needlessly harsh, and not so much concentrated on judging the game itself. Rather what it represents and the commotion around it and Capcom. I'm not even trying to defend the game because like I said, I don't have it. I just don't like badly written reviews.

I think that the Gamespot review was pretty solid, but I don't feel like it matches the score. And if Kevin's tweets are to be believed, he attached a score to the game before he even finished writing the review. That's just gross.

It'll be intriguing to see what Brad says about the game, but I'm more interested in what my own tastes think when I get it tomorrow.

@Humanity: Yeh for sure! If you don't want to take the plunge, but still wanna see what it's about, we'll be showing it off with a fun style. So tag along for the ride!

Hopefully the game itself is good enough to make some entertainment, but I'm sure this LP will be a lot of fun regardless. And plus, believe it or not I liked the demo, especially Leon's segment. Even though yeh it was kind of weird.

Hey there! I'm not sure if any of you guys have heard of Cypheron48 or Durden77. We did a RE5 LP back in the day, and a lot of people seemed to really enjoy it. If any of our viewers are here, HEY!

Well we just announced that after 2 years, our next project together will be Resident Evil 6!

I know a trailer for an LP might be kind of silly, but it's mainly to get our regular viewers pumped, and I'm hoping that if you enjoyed the RE5 LP that this will be exciting to you.
If you don't know us, then we're two LPers that have been going at it for a while now. We like to focus more on fun an entertainment, rather than a completely thorough 100% walkthrough, at least with this series. We first joined together for RE5, and while it had a shaky start in the technical department, it turned out to be a whole lot of fun. I myself, haven't did a full on Let's Play in years, and being able to team up again for the sequel to the game that brought us together in the first place is really exciting. Not only that, but we're both much better equipped these days. So the technical quality will be much improved, and you'll be able to see both views of the action on the respective channels!

We're really psyched to do this for our viewers, but we hope that even if you never watched the RE5 LP, you'll join us for this one! It should be a blast.
Also, here's the playlist for the RE5 LP if anyone's interested. It was a ton of fun. The technical quality starts off kind of shaky, but it levels out.

Anyway, thanks to anyone that checks it out!

Oh and I know there's a rule on these forums that's along the lines of posting a video must have an adequate amount of discussion with it, so if for some reason I didn't meet that mods go ahead and lock the thread.
