I think there is a good start of an idea here. A few things that I thought of...
-If you plan to do one of these, maybe limit the amount of discussion on the Bombcast a bit more in an effort to keep things fresh.
-I like the discussion idea. Have you thought of taking it a step further? In essence, instead of Ben Pack's review of Spiderman, what about Giantbomb's review of Spiderman. Something along the lines of a less intense GOTY discussion where a 5 star rating is given beforehand and then discussed or given after the conversation.
-If you stick to the idea of this being one person's review then maybe limit the time to 20 or 30 minutes.
Good work, still an incredibly happy premium member. Thanks for all the great content.
If you haven't tried premium yet you're really missing out. Everyone on the site is a lot of fun and the various series they make are always a lot of fun to watch. Mass Alex has been a great way to remember how rad Mass Effect is. Breaking Brad is a fun way to watch Brad die endlessly while people talk about random stuff. The Friday shows are a great way to unwind.
Now is the best time to be playing vid... er watching things in Giant Bomb.
An anime podcast is started up because they get interested in watching DBZ and know that a lot of the community is into it, too. They figure out a way to attend an anime convention because they know a lot of the community is enjoying the small amounts of added anime talk and it'd be a stupid good time. The people arranging for them to go to the convention hang out and have fun on the fuck around Friday show.
This is a step too far for some people? Seems like the same GB to me. Half of them already enjoy anime. They're just having fun and branching out in the most minor of ways. All the other content is still here and being made. Don't shit on the new things that get done in addition to all of the old things they still do. It's just a little something for everyone.
Weed is still federally illegal and CBS is a US wide company, so hopefully there are no repercussions. Just because California says it's legal doesn't mean your employer does.
