@rorie Probably wants to see this.

Also, this is primarily the reason that I don't visit the website on my phone anymore, has happened a few times. Once it was so bad, that I couldn't close out the spam tab no matter what I did. Had to literally uninstall and reinstall Chrome on my phone to get it to stop popped up.

I fondly remember that EGM used to have four people review the same game, and you would get four different takes. They'd be super short reviews, but often the previews already told you everything you needed to know about the game itself. The reviews would simply talk about if the game was worth playing or not. It worked quite nicely.

EGM: the original metacritic. They also had a fucking ninja write reviews for them! Giant Bomb should have a ninja.

Didn't they talk on the Bombcast recently about how the EGM guys usually didn't actually finish the game (or only 1 of them would) and those reviews were based only on their impressions from a little bit of it? I might have the exact details a little bit wrong, I think it was the podcast with the 8-4 guys.

Modern Warfare was the last Call of Duty game I played, I just lost interest in the series after that. I probably would have been interested in the remastered edition of Modern Warfare, but thanks to the super gross move of locking it behind the expensive edition of Infinite, I'll be skipping it.

I'd be shocked if they don't sell it separately eventually. I know there's no chance I'll be buying Infinite Warfare, but I would totally pay like 40 bucks for COD4 remastered.

Modern Warfare 2 improved on every aspect of the multiplayer from the first game. If they had spent a little more time on it, then might have gotten the balance close to perfection as well.

I think the addition of all of the killstreaks is what made me like MW2 less than MW1. That and how buggy/glitchy it was. The care package glitch and the javelin glitch both eventually got patched, but it took forever and the game kind of sucked to play before they were fixed.

At this point I'm fairly sure TF2's lunch isn't so much the player base but the sick hat game. The biggest problem a TF3 would present is WHAT HAPPENS TO ALL THE HATS???

That's the current hole Valve is digging themselves into with TF2, Dota2, and CS:GO. If/when they make full on sequels to those games, what do they do to the existing cosmetic items to not piss off their existing users.

If it helps at all, the Uncharted games are still visually spectacular with great production values. Maybe 1 doesn't hold up, but I've been playing 3 on PS4 (which I never got around to) and it is a GREAT looking game, with fantastic voice acting.

One of the things that seems to go under the radar for me is how good their mocap is in cutscenes. The emotions and stuff expressed from the animation (especially is 2 and 3) is 2nd to none. Like the games have always looked amazing, but I feel like that always gets overlooked.

I don't have the numbers to back it up but I feel like TF2's community has been on the decline for a while. A lot of people went to mobas or the newer counter strikes. And now Overwatch and other games are coming up that more directly compete with TF2. For a while it seemed like a new Team Fortress was unnecessary, but now I think they kind of need something big if it's not going to be forgotten.

This is super nitpick-y (sorry), but not sure why you made counterstrike plural. There's only been 1 CS game released since TF2 came out.

@schmollian: I didn't find it cheap or pandering, it seemed inevitable. Resurrection has been heavily foreshadowed as has Jon's true lineage. Jon is a popular character because he is the anchor for the entire story. It took a while, but now we are getting to the real nitty-gritty of pure fantasy.

This. Pretty much everyone who read the books thought that was going to happen after finishing the 5th book. Has nothing to do with the show "pandering" to fans because Kit Harrington is hot.

Guys! Guys! I don't know if you realized this because of all the subtle subtext, but I think Ramsay might be evil...

No!...

I still enjoyed hating him even though he's one of the few characters that is unquestionably a bad guy, but usually they aren't this on the nose and don't have as many scenes/dialogue (see: The Mountain).

I'm also probably one of the only ones that felt slightly bad for Joffrey at the very end (mostly for book joff) so i guess my tolerace for evil is stronger than most.

Joffrey is an evil motherfucker, but I cough half of that up to his shitty parents.
