E3 2015 Game Announcements: XBOX VS. PS4 (CHART COMPARISON)

After the dust settled from all the exciting fan service announcements from Sony regarding The Last Guardian, FFVII, and Shenmue 3, I couldn't help but notice that seemingly none of the exclusive games or content Sony announced at E3 this year were actually coming out, uh...this year. So I got to thinking that the hype train can be a cruel mistress.

BUT, after quickly checking the details for both Xbox and PS4 (and with some help from the duders in the GB community) it would appear as though there is actually a pretty balanced offering for both systems, and more coming out before the end of 2015 than I thought - which is good news for everyone.

At first glance it would appear that there are at least 7 exclusive titles coming to Xbox and 6 for PS4. In terms of brand new IP, Xbox appears to have at least 5 major studio releases lined up through 2016 compared to 2 on PS4 (not including indie PC/port releases). Sony has a bunch of timed exclusives lined up as well (including FFVII of course - hopefully that one doesn't take too many years to surface). Of course this doesn't take into account more titles that may be announced between now and then (and a lot can change in a year).

To help illustrate the point I've lined up the exclusives that were announced based on release date as well as relevant Extra announcements that were made beyond just the new games. Again, this is strictly an unofficial comparison of the exclusives I'm aware of that were announced for both systems (I've included timed exclusives as well). The good news is that either way, we all win (even if we have to wait another 2 years to get all of these)..
